She was one of the top selling artists and was actually huge though her Warrior era fell short of expectations. Accusing someone of rape and abuse is not something she would have done if it ain’t true cause it’s her that’s gonna suffer the most. And just like that, her career suffered. Also, Luke has a history of abuse with many of his artists. There was a thread about it on Twitter years back. I don’t think just because he was nice to Katy Perry pass him out as ‘only Kesha had problems with him’ or cancel out his abuse with other artists. Luke also suffered and no big artists wanna work with him anymore. However, he is a producer and not a public figure. He still works with artists in disguise using a different pseudonym. He’s still getting tons of money and he doesn’t have to worry about not getting work. Kesha, on the other hand, went from getting top 10 hits consistently to barely cracking the top 40 and she has to deal with the fact that she’s still contractually binded with him and he still makes money off of her new works. I don’t think Kesha is/was dumb enough not to think about how the case was gonna affect her career more if she were to fake and lie about it. PS- Artists like Kim Petras honestly are a joke whose songs are stuck on the 2008-2010 era. No wonder why she accepts work with an alleged rapist. She still ain’t got no hits. Big Lol. I’m going to keep this objective. Now firstly something had to had happened. Why would Kesha make such serious accusations considering the position she was in. She was at the peak of her career so why would she make this up. She probably (almost definitely) held her silence because she was young and desperate for a career and this man with power was her only chance. If this was all made up Luke would surely have some jarring evidence to disprove these claims therefore Kesha’s reputation, career everything would have been ruined. Her persistency and emotion is key here also. She has obviously been affected by the rape and she abuse she suffered at his hand had obviously pushed her over the edge. I completely understand people saying there’s two sides to every story but..... when Kesha broker her silence and she lost a lot, sure Luke lost his reputation and all that but when you do bad things bad things come out of it, she couldn’t be lying. sorry for the long post. If that were me and I had been put in a situation of wrongful accusation which cost me 4 years work, regardless of what I could have been earing and ultimately lost, I would want every single asset the false accuser had to their name and more.
