I get that most of it was just supposed to be joking, but the cruelty went a bit too far at that time, especially because it was about somebody who isn't even in the spotlight. It seemed like that was one of the catalysts that made her think that her fanbase is toxic, because it seemed to be around that time when she was becoming more outspoken about the toxicity of the internet. I wasn't on GGD back then, but I'm guessing the other bridesmaid might've been Arianne, who's one of her best friends – but regardless of who it was, that's horrible. I don't think LG's fanbase as a whole is toxic per se, but I think that as with most fanbases, there will always be some fans who go too far with their criticisms, especially when they can hide behind the semi-anonymous veil of social media platforms, and sometimes the most negative voices are the loudest.
