Your fans then trolled her. Why did you choose to go that route? First of all, and this is very me, there were a million beautiful reviews that I didn’t read. And then I randomly see this one thing. In the piece, she said that I’d overcome something, and the way she said it one can only assume she meant I’d overcome child abuse. I’m like, “Don’t bring kids into it. Even if it’s me.” And I’ve never said anything about that. Fans speculate that the line from the review that triggered her reaction is the one referring to her ''trauma'', that abuse during childhood was indeed a real thing if it caused her such a reaction. And honestly I see it explaining the situation really well. Spoiler For reference, this is the sentence taken from the review of Ann Powers She is a creature born of trauma, possibly literally, if you take Lizzy Grant's teenage experiences with addiction into account; but certainly aesthetically.
