The reason she got dragged around ARTPOP was overexposure and her antics, not the actual sales numbers (which weren't even really a "flop"). If it does flop, and that seems doubtfulβeven the Joanne era, which had mixedΒ buzz & the media was still semi-negative as she hadn't completely recovered her rep with the GP at the timeβdid decent numbers and opened at number oneβshe'll be fine. She was very lucky that the quality of the project/media hypeΒ basically promoted itself. All she had to do was wear a dress and collect her awards.
