Is LG6 Gaga’s most anticipated album?

I have been a fan since 2009, but it wasn’t until 2016 that I started paying attention to every move she was making. I remember the lead up to the release of Perfect Illusion, there was a lot of hype. But once the song came out, most people didn’t like it. From there, the hype for Joanne was killed. If I’m not mistaking, the day the album was released, Twitter was down. A mess.. So, is this the Gaga’s most anticipated album? Not only for her core fans but people outside the fanbase.

I wouldn't say it's her most anticipated album not as to minimize its importance but solely because it's hard to quantify these things and we also have to take into account that social media and the way that the GP interacts with pop culture isn't the same as it was circa 2008-2011.

That said I think it's safe to say that there's A LOT of hype surrounding this album because Gaga herself repeaked in terms of popularity and got a lot of exposure in the past months especially to people who stuck to scrutinizing her in the past and now are starting to recognize her artistry (finally!), so naturally everyone's eyes are on her.

I think what hurt eras like ARTPOP and Joanne was the lack of proper promotion (more so with ARTPOP) including label boycott and poorly chosen singles. I feel like LG6 is gonna do well regardless but if her and her team play the right cards that's gonna be extremely beneficial.

But also I feel like people tend to exaggerate when they claim that she stopped being relevant and popular after BTW and it just comes off as petty and ignorant. She's never stopped being an A-lister and that's a fact.

Now, whether all this attention and hype will be entirely positive or not we'll have to wait and see but all in all it's a very exciting (and frustrating, but mostly because Stefani like to torture us) time to be a Gaga fan.

Yes.

A lot of the people I know that used to like her more were into her dance music (TF-BTW) and since BTW, they have learned to respect her and her talent from Joanne and mainly ASIB, but I'm SUPER interested to see if/when/hopefully Please Gaga she returns to dance music, if these people that jumped ship and maybe casually enjoyed ASIB come running back with their stan cards.

But the good sis needs to release and stop teasing with cryptic (yes cryptic) tweets and studio pics Jesus Christ. The stage is SET for her with Billie Eilish bringing weird back...

She's talked so much about making all this music that has been unreleased, she could at least release a mixtape or EP or something to feed us. We haven't eaten since 2013, our poor gay souls.

Ok I'll go outside now.

Honestly I think that the GP don't give a **** about LG6, but she gained more fans with Joanne/ASIB of course and the fans will always be excited about new music. But the most anticipated album was and will always be "Born this way".

Don't wanna kiss, don't wanna touch, just drink my ****ing coffee and watch 90's cartoons and hush

For the most part, the GP (which I'm defining as people who aren't extremely into music or stans) doesn't really get hyped about any albums until they are actually released. There might be some minor hype beforehand, like when Adele did that Hello advertisement, but that's the extent of it.

I think it's partially a result of social media and the constant flow of news...there's always something new, something changing. On the flip side, with every blog writing up random tweets buzzfeed style people get tired of hearing about celebs and then stop paying attention until a movie or album comes out. Music also stopped being kind of an "event," where people would camp out at record stores, etc. because it's so easy to stream/buy digital music nowadays. But yeah, I feel like the old school, months long "hype" that even the GP would get into it pretty much died circa 2010-2012.

No, anyone who was a fan during the early years will know that Born This Way was her most anticipated album.  The hype was unreal.

Nah, not even close to Joanne's hype and no one really cared about that album so....

not to her biggest fans but maybe to the gp yes as she's gained so many fans from C2C through ASIB
