Miel 15,009
I... am still very ambivalent towards Tulsi. Keeping my eye on her. I think I (possibly unfairly, trying to unpack previous biases) hold her to a particular regard because of her previous political stances in Hawai'i, especially as a person of Pacific descent herself. 3 points in and ready for more

Why though? I see alot of democrats and even progressive say stuff like this. She wont win anyway, I just think its good to have someone like her on the debate stage because shes the only one talking about war and im from the Middle East. Gagaloo911 12,959
Kamala, Tulsi, and Pete are all problematic. They need to drop out already. Biden too but that's not gonna happen (yet). It should be a max of 10 people on the stage tbh.

But if you want to make this about Tulsi, she was anti LGBTQ+ as a young person living with a right wing family. She never held any of these beliefs as an adult or a politician. Since she became an adult, joined the military, and became a politician, she only worked to help LGBTQ+ people. Yet Kamala at the age of 60 is still corrupted. She was an elected official when she made such comments. Tulsi is horrible and deserves to be removed from office.

There were statements she has made while in a position of power that have rubbed me the wrong way, but I also acknowledge that people learn and grow for the better of the people, especially when put in the spotlight like this. Obviously that's going with the assumption that genuinely means it. I have more strong opinions on her father, especially as a Queer person of Pacific descent. And while it has kind of held a factor in my opinion of Tulsi over the years with her older work and opinions, I reckon it's fair to challenge that, of course. 3 points in and ready for more

She was 20 years old as an elected official, the next year she joined the military and served with Gays and Lesbians in the military where they had no rights. Since then, she changed her position and worked to help the LGBTQ community. This means Tulsi has been pro LGBTQ+ since 2003. Yet, Obama and Hilary and most of the Democrats were anti LGBTQ+ as late as 2012. 10 minutes ago, Arturo said: At least provide non biased sources or any sources at all with those claims....you can’t because they’re mostly false Sure, here you go:

To me, it means alot when someone challenge themselves and change for the better regardless of their environment. She has stayed consistent for over 2 decades with being pro LGBTQ+. I think we should encourage real change specially that not all people are born into good situations.
