It's her first album that is that deep and dark (even though I like her previous albums - Live to tell - papa don't preach etc... This one is everything)

The songs on the album ARE the demos. She actually talks about it in this interview at the 12:30 mark.

She says they used 8 track tape and kept it that way, instead of moving it over to a 24 track and doing it all over again. However, she did say that there was some overdubbing on the album.

Erotica is one of Madonna's best albums! I remember last summer starting to listen to her discography fully, and when I listened to Erotica it really stand out to me, it's so cool and people describing it as "just a sex album" are very close-minded tbh. Ugh her erotic mind.

My favorite tracks are Deeper and Deeper (special highlight), Erotica, Rain, In This Life, Bad Girl (also love the video) and Secret Garden (this song is like a poem to me)
