I hope she performs ARUTW! It’s literally one of her best songs, and it’s a shame it hasn’t been promoted more.

We’ve waited how long now for her to perform it?! She has to!! What an epic final send off that would be for the movie!!:tony:

Think this pretty much confirms she’ll perform ARUTW or INLA or maybe a medley to celebrate the success of the film at the ceremony so much for my theory of her debating LG6 around that time.

I think Visual Media is in the bag and same for Soundtrack, I really want ARUTW to win at least one award because it’s beautiful and my fave (besides HBF) on the soundtrack

I don't think Visual Media will happen (Sunflower), but it'd be the first movie ever to win the category twice/back to back.

Post Malone? The artist with the huge smash "Psycho" but got passed up in a nomination in Pop Duo last year for massive bombs like that Xtina/Demi collab and a Tony Bennett collab? The same artist who had the biggest hit in Pop Solo yet lost to a stripped down version of a 2016 song? It's not realistic. Gaga will win that one.

Why the film version of INLA where you get scared by Jack because it's like he's coming from behind mid-song and sings to you and not the extended beautiful version?!?!?!?!

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Because previously a soundtrack wasn't able to submit in two different eligibility periods. It started with ASIB this year

Sad that they didn't submit Giggin' My Grave after all, I thought that was a good move. But happy that Maybe It's Time is in there even if it has nothing to do with Gaga.

Still hopeful that we can can win at least one or two of these!

Post Malone is not Adele, its never a guarantee at the Grammys, tho he’s the frontrunner to win visual media, Gaga’s more of a Grammy favorite than him as seen with last year’s noms & Joanne who basically was the only nominee winner to not even chart in the BB 100

Because it's Pop Duo/Group Performance

Here for an ARUTW live performance to celebrate all the Grammys she's going to snatch

I think submitting the "duet" version of INLA, for the Visual Media nomination, is kind of a smart move. They know how much of an impact that whole scene made, especially the end. Sunflower is a big contender, but if the voters are taking the actual context of the song with the film into consideration, then I think INLA might have an edge.

Spoiler

gaggery if it's neither

Anyway, since everybody has been talking about it- would her chances have been any different if her and her team actually pushed the soundtrack a little bit more, post-Shallow? I want to say yes, but I know some of you are much more acquainted to the world of charts and awards tactics.

3 points in and ready for more

jacs vs looser

I think her most likely nominations will be:

ASIB - Soundtrack
ARUTW - Pop Solo
INLA - Visual Media
MIT - Either American Roots Song or  American Roots Performance

I would also hope for ASIB nomination for AOTY and ARUTW for Song of the year, but I feel there are many other contenders in those fields, so it will be hard to get a spot. Wins will depend on the competition, of course.

Of course her chances would be different if the decision to push the soundtrack release post-2019 deadline had an actual strategy behind it. I mean, when you have a blockbuster smash getting nom'd everywhere for the acting and a soundtrack with nearly a dozen original songs written by a global superstar, trying to clean-up two years in a row seems sensible. Shallow's re-peak post-Oscars couldn't be predicted, and it was a very strong contender as it were last year for SOTY/ROTY.

Of course, it's only logical that for this strategy to pull through, you need to actually acknowledge the rest of that soundtrack at some point after its release. Without any help, ASIB hung on for dear life as the top-selling album of 2019 for so long, and ARUTW's streaming numbers are incredible. The critical acclaim, GP fanfare, and hype were perfectly aligned for ASIB to coast to AOTY. But, really, how can you expect an album released over a year ago, that had its only worldwide single contender last cycle, to feel at all relevant against an Ariana who is onto a 2nd or 3rd album era at this point?

Do we get how many times LG performed Shallow last year? Nobody ever thought 'hey, maybe we'll put Shallow away tonight and give ARUTW/INLA exposure?' Not a single performance. Then, Shallow soars to #1 post-Oscars THIS year offering a once in a lifetime chance and ...silence. The LG6 wait was supposedly to allow ASIB to shine... in France only? How hard would it have been to write Kiss FM's address on the cassette sent to FRA in May for the INLA release (joking a bit here)? A re-release of the album with Shallow (live from the Oscars), ARUTW (with real MV), INLA (extended + studio duo), Clover, etc. would have been eaten up in spring. ARUTW would have hit #1 with ease, and INLA/ITA would have been a sweet close to the era and kept it relevant through fall.

But, we are seriously thinking INLA is going to lose to SUNFLOWER? If she does not win Soundtrack and Song for Visual Media, I GIVE UP!

Official update of the submissions which are kinda different than the rumoured ones:

ASIB:

- AOTY

- Soundtrack

ARUTW:

- SOTY

- ROTY

- Pop Solo

INLA:

- Pop Duo

- Visual Media

Maybe It's Time:

- American Roots Song

- American Roots Performance

Source:

There’s no way they don’t get a nomination for every submission. I’m super pissed they gave Maybe Its Time the submission over Diggin My Grave but let’s face it this Grammys awards is more for Bradley at this point. I think that’s why we haven’t seen anything LG6 related.

The only ones that they will for sure not win are ROTY & SOTY. Everything else I really think they could take!

So Gaga potentially has 7 nominations, Bradley has a possibility of 4, Jason Isbell has 1, & Lukas has at least 2 from these submissions.
