Excited for this, this will be a show, no doubt! I didn't think J-Lo would have to share her slot, though, she has more than enough hits to do it solo and definitely has the performance skills to carry the whole show (we already saw her do a medley at the BB awards last year anyway). But to give Shakira this opportunity is amazing too as she sadly fell right off the public's radar with Can't Remember To Forget You being the only time she's been relevant in the English-speaking world for over a decade and that song, as much as its video was popular, was a flop on the charts. And the game's being held in Miami, so it makes sense to make it a Latina-themed bash. All I can say is, I don't really think Jennifer will be comfortable sharing the stage with another woman (she prefers to be the centre of attention and the only hot one there) but I guess she feels at 50 that she'll never get this opportunity again so she has to grab it with both hands. If there's 2 of them, there's no need to have any special guests, surely? But if they do, don't let it be Pitbull! I'm so proud of Gaga for being the first and only female so far to do her show completely solo, really shows what she's capable of.

By the way, J-Lo's PR has been in overdrive since early 2018. I think they're trying to make her do a Beyonce (do a whole bunch of various promo before dropping a big project to get the public back on side). Probably inspired by the lead-up to Gaga's big comeback as well. So, far for just over a year now, a residency, launched a make up collection, released several songs, been in ad campaigns, starred in Second Act, went on a brief world tour, launched a sunglasses line, performed a medley at the BB Awards, co-starred in Hustlers and is going to be in an upcoming film series and is involved in two upcoming tv dramas. Now she's going to be doing the SB. I'm surprised there's still no proper album talk, just random singles. It's a big deal to make a comeback at 50, so good on her in that sense. But I do think some people are getting carried away. I keep on hearing there's Oscar buzz for her role in Hustlers. Not only has J-Lo never been remotely considered for a nomination, no one (unless I'm totally ignorant) has ever been nominated for a stripper role. That's what Razzies are for!

Exciting! Hopefully it won't be a cliche performance like lots of performances from dance artists nowadays. I hope it'll flow seamlessly instead of forced dance breakdowns all over the place.
