Canadas Conservatives Get Unusually Generous With Poor & Low Income

In an unusual turn, all of the tax cuts and tax credits and benefits Canadas conservative party is preparing and promising is aimed at middle class and low income individuals with no tax cuts for Corporations or high income individuals, although they are the only party to not propose tax hikes on any of the rich either.

 

So far this includes:

 

- A 1.25% tax reduction on bottom income bracket up to $47,600 a year (15% down to 13.75%)

- A partial tax refund on maternity and paternity leave benefits (tho Trudeaus Liberals go further by proposing removing all taxes on the benefits all together)

- A 15% tax credit/refund on expenses for those who use public transit

- tax credits for families who enrole children on beneficial physical activity such as sports. Benefits get cut off above a certain threshold of income.

 

However the Conservative Right Wing party has not totally abandoned some of their traditional positions including promising deregulation for businesses especially the energy sector and to save on spending things like subsities on Electric Vehicles and other social investments would get roled back.
