INLA for Best Pop Duo says otherwise :huntyga:

The 3rd of 3 actual hits from the Soundtrack being submitted to a category she won last year instead of a song that no one even knows?

They submitted Winter Wonder Land ft Tony for ROTY and SOTY one year. They just submit songs in any category they can, and ARUTW fit best out of everything she released within this Grammy period, even though it had little to no promo

She better get to work then if she wants that noms :ohwell:

So its not actually confirmed yet

it will never be confirmed by the Grammys or by Gaga's team, voters leaking on goldderby is the best we're gonna get

it's not bs, technically it's a still a duet and it's eligible for the category, and ppl will vote for it cuz it has Gaga and Bradley and they know the song

actually the user that gives the tea on goldderby is not voting for the grammys this year. so he doesn't have access to the submissions list.

then a new user claiming to be a voter aswell offered to provide these submissions. some people on GGD are suspicious but the lists looks pretty reasonable and have really specific choices that a regular troll wouldn't dig so deep to make (for example Diggin My Grave for American Roots perf/song) so we're taking it at the moment. i'm believing it so far.

if it's fake we'll know when nominations come out, cancel this user and move on.

Did they really forget to submit ASIB for Best Pop Vocal Album? :saladga:

a soundtrack is only eligible for the compilation soundtrack category or the genre one. it can't be in both.

and even if she submitted to pop album, the grammys comittee would move it to the compilation category anyway

Do the GRAMMYs give a reason for that? An album is an album

The soundtrack category is seen as a genre for an album, so they see it should compete with other soundtracks.

They're much stricted to when it's material mainly featured in the film. In cases of Black Panther, Kendrick Lamar did an album of music inspired by the movie that wasn't mainly featured in it (except for 2 songs), so the grammys don't consider it a soundtrack and moved it to the rap category. The same will happen to Beyoncé's The Gift that includes tons of song not featured in the movie, only Spirit - it will contend in the Pop Album category as it isn't a proper soundtrack for the film.
