Akiki 3,900
I have a serious doubt, if anyone can reply and explain I would be thankful Is it gender a social construction solely or your sex influences it? Cause, I can see the whole boys wear blue and girls pink being wrong on so many levels, but boys being attracted to certain things like big cars seem to be a way to express proximity to power mimicking the behaviour seen in many species. Males are seen has aggressive and created to be more exuberant in a way. So they can attract better partners. Since we dont have stick and stones anymore, isn't your gender stimulating this kind of tastes? I'm a guy gay but I feel the need to have kids for example. And then what about like gender agreement of articles like El/La In Portuguese the plural would be still feminine or masculine. The best word choice would be Nós or Você. Both are genderless and one is plural and the later is singular. The thing is, Você is not social acceptable anymore cause it makes you look superior. It's odd but many people find it offensive. Disagreeing with some views on gender doesn't automatically mean we are being hateful. It's really hard to post my thoughts on this without giving the wrong impression so I'm deciding not to. But please don't make this about Gaga and being a Gaga fan. Es solo una paja entre colegas
Gracious Gaga 17,163
@Akiki I meant to quote you. but in regards to whether or not pronouns refer to sex or gender- that's a good question. but at the end of the day, is it really necessary that we know what genitals are between somebody's legs? if they prefer to remain neutral, we should respect that, and they/them is a gender and sex neutral term. ♥ Kindness Police.
