I mean I knew this already but I heard someone saying that she can't compete again with another song from the same soundtrack.

I'm 99% sure it's not real

Here's mine. I was one of the few who also believed Joanne would win pop vocal last year. I really think she could pull of a win in that category again this year. I tried to look up the rules but didn't really find an answer, but can Shallow Oscar Performance be submitted this year?

AOTY: Nomination & Win

Pop Vocal Album: Nomination

Best Soundtrack: Nomination & Win

Best Song Written for Visual Media- INLA or ARUTW: Nomination & Win

Best Pop Solo: INLA or ARUTW - Nomination & Win

Best Pop Duo Performance - I Don't Know What Love Is, or Music To My Eyes: Nomination

Best Country Duo Performance - Diggin' My Grave: I hope they submit this because the song is amazing & they could possibly be nominated and win.

- Shallow can't be nominated because it wasn't officially released

- She could win in these categories, indeed, but I'd rather not hope too much

- Also, I REALLY expect Intercope to submit INLA film version instead of IDKWLI or MTMEyes… they're not intelligent enough for that. Like, they literally submitted Judas instead of TEOG  and Gypsy instead of DWUW

A nomination is still very good, because she already has multiple awards from the last season, I'll be very happy is she is nominated for AOY, also would be a humiliation if she loose from The Lion King.

Still can't process she won over 30 awards for Shallow, this is absolutely incredible!!

It would literally be an EPIC fail if ASIB fails to win Soundtrack. I mean, they threw away multiple wins in other categories by doing literally NOTHING to promote the music since its release last fall, after what seemed like a strategic choice to split Shallow and the soundtrack into 2 different nomination cycles. They already blew it for Shallow, which would have been the leading candidate for both SOTY and ROTY had it been released 1 month later; they already blew AOTY for ASIB by not releasing *one* worldwide single during this nomination period; they already blew any 1 song from receiving accolades, let alone multiple ("ARUTW" for ROTY/SOTY / "INLA" for Pop Vocal / "IDKWLI" for Pop Duo).

If the top-selling album of 2019 until 'Lover' is passed up for Best Soundtrack, LG basically will have lived out the awards cycle she was *supposed* to have for 'Til it Happens to You,' despite writing an entire album of crossover smashes. 'TIHTY' was supposed to win the Oscar and Grammy that 'Shallow' did; it's weird to me how overrated LG's accolades for ASIB have been. I have no problem with it - she deserve it all and more. But, like, she won an Oscar for a song, not her acting. Despite that song being a global hit that soared to #1 on Billboard, it still only won *1* extra award at the Grammy's that 'TIHTY' wouldn't have ever: 'Best Pop Duo.'

Like, really, I would honestly love to know what the cons would be for releasing 'INLA' worldwide in May when they released it in France? I'm willing to give up 'ARUTW' and say that they were naive and the success was unexpected, etc., and so its time had passed. But, in May, we were just 2 months away from the Oscars and a worldwide release of any ASIB track would have gotten attention, a top 10 BB placement, and LG would have at least had a CHANCE to have her hard work acknowledged through nominations in the general field.

Say what you want about how little awards mean, etc. But, if you worked as hard she did on something as amazing as the ASIB soundtrack, don't tell me you wouldn't want the recognition that comes with a Grammy nomination. Sorry to beat a dead horse, but look what The Bodyguard did for Whitney Houston's career. I Will Always Love You and I'm Every Woman are iconic songs of her discography that were awarded and placed highly on the BB top 40; yet, both were COVERS of original songs. Now, look over ASIB and ask why most of the GP have no idea that ARUTW, INLA, ITA, IDKWLI, WDYDT, and others even EXIST.

Also, the "but, she won for Joanne" argument is really a non-starter. I've argued this elsewhere, but I would say that if anything, awards like that -- given as a consolation or by a split-vote -- end up preventing future, more deserving, releases from getting any perceived favoritism.

She's already received non-GF awards throughout her career- TF and TFM won Best Album for Dance/Pop, Pokerface and Bad Romance for Best Dance/Pop Solo, and Shallow for Best Pop Duo. The 'Joanne' nod was likely just a 'here ya go' for them not giving Million Reasons the same treatment the year prior. Where she continues to get screwed is in the GF, where she should have won AOTY for at LEAST 1 of TF, TFM, or BTW; SOTY/ROTY for at LEAST one of Bad Romance, EOG, Million Reasons, or Shallow; and BNA if not for the rules that were changed in direct response to her omission.

I think, though, it did set a precedent that minimal effort is needed for the Academy to consider songs for these awards. Even without a worldwide release, just adding 'INLA' or 'ARUTW' to 1 of her 1,000 performances of 'Shallow' last year might have been enough to secure at least a Pop Vocal win. But, I don't think that they are willing to award a song that is totally unknown to the public in the Pop categories.

My Predictions

1. AOTY: ASIB - Nomination

2. SOTY: INLA - Nomination

3. Best Pop Vocal Performance: ARUTW - Submission

4. Best Song for Visual Media: INLA - *Win*

5. Best Compilation for Visual Media: ASIB - *Win*

Remember, ASIB cannot be nominated for both Pop Vocal Album AND Compilation.

A few questions to see if maybe she can squeeze out an additional win in the Music Video categories...

1. Has anything been released from her Apollo performance?

2. Has she released anything from Enigma?

3. Has anything released from ASIB been worthy of a nomination?
