I am further explaining why I chose these songs:

Into The New World - Basically hailed by KPop fans as “song of the nation”, the song has made buzz around Korea with its lyrics saying about a journey or fight they mustn’t stop.

Gee - One of the biggest songs from the 2nd generation. Gee was a big hit considering social media wasn’t existing yet and got several awards including a daesang.

Ring Ding Dong - one of the songs that spread the Hallyu epidemic. Its catchy chorus and iconic dance hooked tons of people inside Korea and was one of the most well known songs in Korean history.

Sorry Sorry - Just like Ring Ding Dong, its catchy chorus hooked tons and was really well known all over Eastern Asia.

Nobody - It’s just overall iconic. The chorus, the choreography and the fact that it is one of the first K-Pop songs, if not mistaken, to chart inside the Hot 100 (when it actually mattered.)

Fire - The song gained an instant success in Korea and really popular online, therefore topping the MNet chart.

I Am The Best - MAMA’s Song of the Year 2011, gained a great buzz inside America, although it wasn’t (yet) commercially sent to airplay.

Fantastic Baby - One of the first songs to break the international boundaries, Fantastic Baby became a great success all over the world and longest K-Pop song to chart inside the World Digital charts, overall in more than 100 weeks.

BANG BANG BANG - One of the best selling digital songs of all time in Asia, and although also met with criticism and controversy, it is one of the better boy group songs inside K-Pop.

Growl - EXO’s breakthrough and so popular inside South Korea, it went and got to North Korea where Growl became a confession song for someone they loved (kii)...
