Since the prophet was having full on sex with his 8 year old wife when he was 50 it's hard to believe he would be homophobic.  I'm sure he would hate than more than 1 billion Muslims believe that gays should be executed (according to polls).  I mean just because there are Islamic 16 countries that beat, imprison and execute people for being gay because of how they interpret the Koran, is that really any reason to be Islamaphobic?

Truth but :toofunny: I think every religious people ignore all crazy facts about their prophets, it's not just Muhammad...

Ammmmmmmm Did he marry a 8 year old girl? Yes. Why? Because if he didn't she would probably be murdered or raped. It's explicitly said that he didn't touch her even tho they were married. Learn your facts and read books if you want to pass it as facts and something truthful. Literally every thread that mentioned islam is full of lies like this and I'm honestly sick of it. This thread should be a positive thing considering you two are probably gay and you know how hard it is and yet you took your time to write this mess. Literally gross.

He married her at 6 and didn't touch her until she was 8, when he DID have full sex and he was 50. Maybe get your facts straight.  Granted, there are different accounts their ages, but 8 and 50 are generally accepted as accurate.

As far as her getting murdered or raped if he didn't marry her....hmmm...why not just adopt her or find her a suitable husband?

I think it's a fair point that maybe the over 1 billion muslims who are in favor of gay executions should maybe consider their prophet was not actually all the moral with his own sexuality.

Where? What's your source? I dont understand why you're so angry. There's been a lot of homophobic things said in holy books, and a lot of stories about the prophets and who they really were...

I recall reading about witnesses who wrote about this prophet and it wasn't very pretty...

I don't wanna argue with you about religion because I respect every beliefs, my family are muslims. They were born in an islamic country, Im not anti muslims, I'm just criticizing the book which I have the right to, no?

I understand that some people need religion for guidance, inspiration and comfort, and it's not always a bad thing. It's actually a very personal thing that should stay private. So again no need to argue over religion

Adoption? You really think that was something that was accepted at the time? :awkney: Also no. There is not one source that is generally accepted.

'''Some traditional hadith sources state that Aisha was betrothed to Muhammad at the age of 6 or 7; other sources say she was 9 when she had a small marriage ceremony; some sources put the date in her teens; but both the date and her age at marriage and later consummation with Muhammad in Medina are sources of controversy and discussion amongst scholars.''

Because of this, it is impossible to know with any certainty how old Aisha was. What we do know is what the Qur'an says about marriage: that it is valid only between consenting adults, and that a woman has the right to choose her own spouse. As the living embodiment of Islam, Muhammad's actions reflect the Qur'an's teachings on marriage, even if the actions of some Muslim regimes and individuals do not.

Also they never had children together so were you there to say he did have sex with her?

LEARN YOUR STUFF.

It's mentined in Qur'an that he married her only because he wanted to protect her and he never expected her to give him children and serve him as a wife in that manner. Also:

From the 20th century onwards, a common point of contention has been Muhammad's marriage to Aisha, who was said in traditional Islamic sources[104] to have been six or seven when betrothed to Muhammad, and nine or ten when she went to live with Muhammad and the marriage was assumed consummated upon her reaching puberty.[105][106][107][108][109][110]

Islamic sources being "The hadith 'Sahih al-Bukhari" Sahih Bukhari 5:58:236 to be exact.

https://quranx.com/Hadith/Bukhari/USC-MSA/Volume-5/Book-58/Hadith-236/

But i'm being too controversial already and i'll stop the discussion there to not offend anyone

Omg as they should. Fight tf back. I just hope they don’t get hurt 💔

yes

Honestly, if " God " created heterosexuality; or made it possible, then he probably created and made possible homosexuality? Who can really  think that gay people are malefic creatures put in the belly of some women, or some sort of sinners - so powerful that they overcomed "the laws of nature " and the power of God  and his pseudo heterosexuality ordinance in order to create chaos on Earth  .....

what exactly is the point of this?

if they're just making a point that you can be lgbt and believe in whatever religion you want, then you go girls, that's a beautiful thing.

but if they're attempting to ask for acceptance from religious groups, good luck with that. catholics have been in direct contact with lgbt people for years in the US and they're still against us

I guess it's kinda challenging the status quo, they can be muslim and also gay. Isn't that enough?!

I think it is brilliant. If you're from the UK you'll know about the school protests and this helps to combat that. It is great to see a community that typically has an unfavourable opinion on LGBT, embrace it.

I dont understand why anyone would be opposed or complain about the festival.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

Wishful thinking.

You are being willfully blind if you continue to believe in a religion that mandates that you be put to death for who you are.

If anything, homosexuality has shown that religions aren't real. Because if they were, they wouldn't be against homosexuality. An actual real god wouldn't judge for something you didn't choose to be.

God doesnt judge you based on who you didnt choose to be.

He judges you on what you chose to become.

Because we were all born sinners already, but we chose who we become and what we do with our lives despite that.
