Whether they accept it or not, fossil fuels are dying. They should secure their profits/future by investing in the tech they need to produce renewable energy Many of them ARE doing that but the world is still consuming fossil fuels and for now we still need it even when all cars go electrict we still need oil for countless products including asphalt, shingles, plasticts, certain types of rubber, paints, certain pesticides and the list goes on and on

We already have alternative sources, they just need to use them. As for everything we use oil to manufacture, I'm sure they can find different ways to make them but that's not as big of a deal imo. Except plastic. F*ck (one use/disposable) plastic I figured they would be doinf that, good to know for sure Whimsical bitch

Would help if they got cheaper faster but were getting there slowly as for products whats the point? Other resources have their own foot print. Burning it is the worst. If cars go electrict the majority of oils pollution is gone

This topic is on Suncor Energy causing slightly less harm in the extraction process for fossil fuels which will then be burned and are the single greatest threat to humanity. To me congratulating this would be like if I was making poison and dumping it into the lake and announced I found a way to more efficiently make the poison I dump into the lake and it will lead to greater profits for me. Or like when cigarette companies came out with filters and promoted the incredible health benefits. "It catches much of the smoke!" It is not solving the problem and allows people to continue harming. I don't believe we need any one company, especially one that causes so much harm. I think for now we still need these companies and for the record they cant force anyone to buy their oil. So society that consumes it is just as guilty of the issues
