Which one(s)...?

Beyonce, Gaga, Taylor, perhaps Rihanna, perhaps Bieber, perhaps Kanye. Britney is an icon, but not really from talent or anything particular, she's just a cultural icon.

for A++++++ status, I'd say only Gaga and Bey, but honestly also Taylor eventually

not just because i'm a fan but i really think that Lorde and Lana will be something like Nirvana in the future, the anticulture icons

apart from one you mentioned,

1. Taylor Swift : she is smart and talented. To be a legend, one that helps is body of work that people will look back and say wow that was a masterpiece. Taylor stomps at that..look at her albums.. All are amazing. ALL TOO WELL ALONE MAKES HER A LEGEND.

2. Adele and Bruno Mars: Depending upon how much they utilise their status now and material they release..

I wouldn't say Rihanna because she has always been an single artist until Anti. Let's give few more years..she has most BOPS out of all singers now may be even among all time but nothing else to offer. Look at katy she was a singles artist and how her career ended though I know both are too different.

that one is in deep trouble ...

DWUW wasn't a fiasco, it was a hit in most countries and the "mistake" was not to release it as the lead single, with the real reason why she decided to do a duet with R. Kelly

Lady Gaga

She's soon enough gonna get that EGOT, theatre kid with vocal chops,  Gaga became the first person to win an Academy Award, Grammy, BAFTA and Golden Globe in one year. Talk about a trailblazer.

Beyonce

She has 66 nominations at the grammy awards winning 23 of them.  she is the most nominated woman and With 23 awards, including those with Destiny's Child, Beyoncé is the most-awarded woman.

Ari, Taylor, Lorde etc are legends in the making

Madonna etc. are contemporary too, but

Gaga of course

Beyoncé

Rihanna

JB (maybe, if longevity)

Adele (probably if she doesn't completely flop with A4)

Beyoncé is already a legend. No doubt. Gaga has potential but like others have said, I think she needs THAT era that will cement her status as a legend like Beyoncé with her self-titled. Rihanna has potential too but like Gaga, she needs THAT era. Adele & Taylor will also definitely become legends.

I think Lorde is pretty much over, commercially talking. She's never been big and I don't think she will ever be.

As of now, Ari is far from that status. She's successful but isn't taken seriously (which is normal since she always jumps on the trends to have hits and doesn't change her image since her debut)

And for Taylor, maybe she'll be considered as a legend in the US, but never in Europe etc.

it being a duet with R. Kelly was the mistake. Had it been released with  a contemporary artist like Bruno Mars, better performances (SNL:fail:) and a great music video instead of that one I am thankful she scrapped after seeing those leaks!

I disagree, ASIB is way bigger than Bey's self-titled and honnestly, I think Gaga has been a legend for a decade.

I also disagree, I think she will 100% be a legend, even if she announced her retirement now. She's got a huge longevity with her popularity

ASIB was huge but we can’t deny that it’s a soundtrack. She needs something in that level with her own studio album to cement that status. She was always an icon for a decade, I wouldn’t say legend.

Of course Riri will be a legend but I feel like she needs that cementing of the status too just like Gaga.
