If the tweet had popped up out the blue it could be argued to be a death threat, but in this context it is not. It's like saying "I'm taking away your pizza" and the person replying "My pizza is ready for you sir". Nice try. Say it to a co-worker when referencing a gun and see what happens. I don't think they realized the equivalence they were making when they made that post. They said we need to think about this in the correct context, then made a post completely out of context. Especially after all that police “brutality” we witness. Again, it’s a constitutional right to have a gun and it’s ultimately to protect yourself from tyrannical government, kind of like the one Robert Frances O’Rourke is aiming for. Beto wasn’t saying that regular citizens can’t have guns. He was saying there is no reason for regular citizens to own weapons like AR-15s and keep them in their homes. It is not a constitutional right to have ANY kind of weapon or assault weapon that you might want. For instance, you can’t go out and buy a machine gun. These assault weapons could be banned, like they were in the past. That whole protection from the government argument is nonsensical. Your AR-15 isn’t going to protect you from tanks, missiles and drones.

Your AR-15 isn’t going to protect you from tanks, missiles and drones. I just keep having to bring up the point that when the 2A was ratified, guns were low powered, single shot rifles that took even the most skilled riflemen 20+ seconds to reload. That's 3 shots per minute at best with a gun that usually missed and was rarely immediately lethal. A lot of gunshot deaths were caused by sepsis after a wound got infected. Now we have guns that can mow down dozens of people in seconds and anyone can legally buy one and use one so why the hell are we applying the same rules to them? That's like having the same rules applied to butter knives and chainsaws hooked up to diesel engines Ban that sh*t. Reinstate Bill Clinton's ban, ban modifiers (like bump stocks), ban private sales, make it law that ALL background checks are done by law enforcement officals, and put a limit on how much ammunition one citizen can have at one time. Knife 7,079
Unless "Briscoe Cain" is saying that his AR is ready to be taken by Mr. Robert Francis, that's a death threat.
Guest
Gross. I hope he’s forced to resign & Beto wins so we can get gun control. 6 people die from vape products made on the street & Trump says “it’s a TRAGEDY! Ban ALL vape products & PROTECT our youth!” Yet when there’s mass shootings in schools & children die Trump & our government does nothing. It’s a proven FACT that gun control reduces mass shootings. Look at all the countries who ban guns & how many mass shootings they’ve had. ZERO.
