This raises questions regards how Sam is awarded in the future.

Are they eligible for 'Best Male' categories? And if not, where do they fit in?

I guess they'd just be removed from the gendered categories, altogether.

But if that is the case, I am surprised their record label have let them  be so public with this... since it'll impact their 'critical' success in the industry.

Just a thought!

They are eligible for band categories i guess

Why do people on this thread find it funny to mock Sam for this? You wouldn’t mock someone for being gay or trans etc so why is it ok to mock someone who’s non binary?:oprah:

they still didn't deserve to win over TIHTY

Are they "the one" or "the ones" who won over TIHTY? I mean, which one is correct to say? :saladga:

Less awards for them so this is good :golfclap:

Not that they were at their career peak, though

No ... are you ....seriously ? :toofunny:

Quite the contrary, that's exactly why I commented.

If I interpreted your original post right, you were stating that "this is a step too far, what will the next thing be? Non-binary dogs??" And I commented because clearly that analogy doesn't work and screams 'slippery slope'.

If you ask me, I've always felt that there needs to be a split/divide between the LGB+ community and the T+ community. Gay people or bisexuals or any other sexual minority often fail to share ANY experiences with a trans person beyond "coming out". Consider an LGBA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, pansexual etc.) and a TNB+ (transgender, non binary etc.) community

I agree with this tbh :bradley:
