I love the pictures... but Lady Gaga is so much more than just make-up. I am sick of Haus Labs and "I was Lady Gaga when I started wearing make up" is just :awkney:

No, you were still Stefani when you started wearing make up. Your artistry, creativeness, and your TALENT + PASSION for music is what drove you to become Lady Gaga. I get that you are trying to expand your brand, but please don't reduce 11+ years of hard work, talent + dedication to some lip stick/liner/gloss, concealer, mascara, blusher and any other cosmetic products you used. Anyone could buy those products and they would not be Lady Gaga.  :saladga:

But Bobby is her manager and it's his job to manage her career. Even if she did want to push forward and do lots of dates in a row (and I don't believe post-fibro Gaga would do that), it's up to Bobby to say yes or no. He  is supposed to manage her if/when she's overworking herself, so he failed considering she had to cancel twice.

Ultimately, I'm not sure if he has her best intentions at heart. I very much doubt Haus Labs was her choice, especially after what she said about selling products in 2015, but I think she is trying to make the best out of it. That's why the beauty line is "more about the message" (in her own words) than the actual products. I also don't know if Vegas was her decision. I can see why Bobby thought it would be better for her, physically and mentally, but there was also a very obvious financial incentive. While I don't think Gaga is innocent in wanting the big dollar, I don't think it's the kind of decision she would have made if she'd been left to her own devices. She refused to do it unless she could also do a jazz show, which shows it probably took some persuading.

I don't know,  this is a strange era for Gaga. I'm happy that she's both critically and commercially acclaimed now, but her brand decisions are odd to say the least and I don't believe those decisions are Gaga's (unless she has completely changed as a person in the last 3 years...).

EDIT: Sorry for the essay. :messga:

I mean, none of us really know her so we can’t say what is her decision vs not, only speculate. I’m not going to say every decision is perfect, but if Gaga wants to do a date, Bobby is out of line to outright say no. I also think that it was a very complicated time with a lot of moving parts and something was bound to drop like that. I think Bobby absolutely has her best interests at heart. He’s trying to maximize her potential as is his job. Even if Vegas took convincing, it’s clear she is happy doing it, and HL? I think the selling point was more working on something with her friends more than her needing to be coerced. I’m sure, like so many ventures between friends, it began with Sarah and Gaga chilling with wine, having fun and just gushing about how fun it would be to do. That’s entirely different than the situation with Fame and EdG where she really had to try and make it something she cared about and was interesting. She cares for HL; she was stoned af during Fame and absent during EdG. The difference in passion is palpable and Gaga has absolutely changed her tune since getting into beauty originally and music as well. She’s much more mellow now

I think you’re looking to pin stuff on Bobby but it seems more of a reach than anything else especially with how much Gaga praises him as a manager for her.

I love the essence of the interview so much, but sometimes I feel like she just gets in her own way when she is explaining or describing something. I know she doesn’t mean any of it to be disingenuous, but sometimes it comes across that way which is unfortunate. Like the statement about the children could’ve been powerful if she would’ve just said makeup instead of listing the names of her products :selena:

Having said that, her talking about feeling like Lady Gaga when she put makeup on makes sense when her entire career has been about her changing up her look with... you guessed it, MAKEUP. She’s not taking away from the other things that make her Gaga or maker her want to be her persona, just talking about one facet of it.

The pieces about her team and her touring really got to me and made me really solidified in my feelings that she is hurt by the horrible things some of y’all say about her team.

The photo shoot is an absolute SERVE. Probably my favorite of her last few. Can’t wait to see her new brand expand into other products and create a really cool makeup brand, that’ll hopefully be sold in other stores at some point too.

Not that we've all gushed about the shoot -me included- can we ask and wonder why the photographer chose to blur some of the pictures? It works on the golden shots, but in the close ups with the feather outfit and the Nairobi hair it's a bit weird??

I agree 100% with this

Maybe some of her fight has gone a bit so she's letting Bobby make more decisions and put her trust in him? Vegas still makes no sense to me especially as she mentioned in the article about not being able to have a proper rest since she started and the Joanne tour. I (and I'm sure a lot of fans too) would rather she'd have taken a proper break this year and put more effort into her music and other projects that the whole world can enjoy, rather than do a show that might exhaust her that only a few can.

What a shocker to see the usual "Gaga's team are FORCING her to do these career moves we don't like😭😭😭

🙄 Y'all are so boring and predictable. You really think at this time in her life Gaga would go to the trouble of launching a make up brand if she didn't want to? She is all over this.  You need to look up the interview with the woman who is financing it. She said she was supposed to just meet Bobby initially but Gaga arrived soon after and made her vision clear. She met with various people in the industry to see who was the best fit to being that vision to life and to read between the lines it was clear that Gaga took her time and didn't settle.

She said Gaga has also been up until all hours mixing, testing and taking photos. This isn't half hearted. Just because most of you are not interested in make up, how about you are respectful enough to see its something she wants to do. Nobody is forcing you to buy it. I can't believe so many of you are getting angry over ****ing lipstick. It's embarrassing.

Shes gonna do what she wants anyway so you're wasting your time. You're just being unsupportive fans making her future departure to have kids very easy indeed.  I have honestly never seen such constant unnecessary negativity in a fandom towards their idol. And I've been through quite a few at this point in my life. Taylor Swift doesn't get this, her fans are super sweet and protective of her. At a time when the GP are finally giving Gaga due respect and admiration its her "fans" that  have turned hateful, mocking and outright nasty.

And we could assume it's because you're she's not the 2010 Gaga who wears crazy outfits every day but I know that if she stayed the same you'd hate on her too.

Some of you need to move on and stan someone new. Mocking and hating as entertainment is not harmless. She feels that energy as much as we do.
