I heard about this earlier today while collecting donations to send over. Private boats and planes are taking over tons of food and water, organizations are collecting tons of cash. Florida will not let our neighbors suffer like this.

They have nothing. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of those private vehicles came back with passengers.

We still have Puerto Ricans here that came over after Irma and Maria, we WILL be taking any Bahamian refugees too and you best believe a lot of these refugees are becoming FL citizens and taking note of the assholes that stand for stuff like this so they can vote against them hard.

Disgusting.

Wow. The US is just sinking to new lows. Why don't Republicans get a backbone and just admit they want to ban all refugees entirely so they don't keep giving people false hope?

Because it's only the black and brown refugees they don't want.

The US and their visa is way too much... they really complicated it so nobody can go there :ladyhaha:

To be frank, super strict and complicated visa policy is on every First world countries ever tho, except for Japan and Singapore probably.

You can ask every South East Asian, South Asian, and African folks how degrading it is the process to obtain visa  to visit Europe, USA, Canada, NZ, Australia. The embassies literally asked a copy of their bank account statement from the past 3 months among others. Which is not necessary since it is personal information. Very much different than us citizen of the first world countries who can just book a flight on short notice and get visa on arrival. On most cases, for free.  Which has been abused by few people who called themselves begpackers, a group of white Europeans who visited Asian countries by begging money from the locals. Which is disgusting tbh.
