Is it true that the movie is homophobic and racist or some sort? I didn’t really look through much of it in case of spoilers.

No, it's quite the opposite.

That's not true. No justice for the gays, the bullies didn't get the thing that they deserves which is IT. Instead...... [Spoiler]

Just returned from a late night show!  :rip: I legit got tired of being scared all the time. :messga:

Loved it every minute of it. Considering the impressive run time, there really isn't a single dull moment. Also the casting has been phenomenal.

I dont agree. There was LGBTQ rep in the film, with both the opening scene and Richie. Perhaps the bullies didnt get "what they deserved," but that is the point of Derry. Pennywise also feads off fear, so it doesnt make sense for the bullies to be attacked. It doesn't have to be a happy ending for it to be representative. I also think it was a very impactful opening, and might open some people's eyes.

Can someone spoil me the opening scene?  I heard it's very disturbing

It's just a hate crime. It's just hard to watch, and realistic.

Girl, having two men kiss in the opening scene of such a huge blockbuster is huge. Also, "be proud" in the end is also a pretty nice nod to the LGBT community.

I just wish it was scarier. This one didn't even make me feel the least bit creeped out.

The supposed to be jump scares were weak compared to the first one, since they didn't even make me jump.

Great film, overall, I just was expecting more of a horror factor. It plays more like a thriller that wants to be scary.

I understand that. I think it's more so the source material that's the problem tho.

I agree. I knew they wouldn't want to change the material around too much, but I wish they would have taken some... liberties with the overall story and mood of the film.
