Is Bloody Mary Cursed?

Honestly, I think the entire incorporation of religious themes into the BTW album/era/vision felt forced, out of place, and in my opinion, started the slow descent from what seemed like an invincible upward trajectory in her career when she released 'Judas' as the 2nd single. No matter what you feel regarding the quality of the song and its viability as  GP-friendly release, it's almost impossible to say that ANY song that loosely relays a message of a romantic relationship to the literal or personification of betraying one's God would go without intense scrutiny. The choice to pick that guaranteed scrutiny and risk it for the sake of publicity vs. allowing LG's artistry to shine on its own merit with songs like TEOG, MTN, and Scheisse, totally failed and the first crack in the perfection of Gaga's quest for fame was just big enough to drag her down from what should have been a defining era and peak to an underwhelming finish, embarrassingly empty list of accolades, and public perception that has only now been recovered from.

MTN, BTW, TEOG, Scheisse, and Y&I with proper release dates and promo would have been a safe route to domination. She would've ended her most intense era with 3-5 Grammy awards vs. 0, 3 #1 singles vs. 1, 5 top 10s vs. 4, continued her impressive streak of top 10 singles, and gone into the ARTPOP era with unmatched esteem instead of oversaturation and criticism.

Judas and Bloody Mary - the most controversial lyrically - didn't propel the theme of self-acceptance or any other broader sub-plots of BTW and should have never been on it. Bloody Mary would have made a great addition to TFM as one of the 3-5 additional songs that should have been added for a full length LP. But, when Freakshow, Animal, Brooklyn Nights, Second Time Around, Princess Die, No Way, Glitter & Grease, Future Love, and more ended up in a dumpster, I can't be convinced her discography would be any lesser with its/their absence.

Nah it was rumoured to be from TFM, but its just a fan theory cause of the whole dark vibe of the song and TFM. But it was written in 2010 and TFM was out in 2009. So like many rumours, they are just rumours and false

Yeah I always took it as BM being one of the first BTW songs to be written and as a result there’s a sufficient amount of bleed over from TFM aesthetic.
