Damn lol I guess I’ll give her a try once she finally sees the light and stops supporting trash. EDIT: Is she obligated to work with him tho?? Or it is voluntary involvement? These facts matter cause I can’t **** on her for doing something that was against her will lol I don't think it's confirmed that he's on volume 2, but honestly it's probably likely. On that note, my friend has speculated that she's under a contractual obligation, but I don't know anything regarding all of that. 3 points in and ready for more

In one of her recent interviews (I forgot for which magazine), when she was asked about Dr. Luke, she said he signed her. Appariently, she met him in 2013/2014 and she signed something with him, not a record label, that he's going to co-produce music for her. I guess she's not legally allowed to say anthing bad about him and if you look any of her interviews, you can see that she's genuinely a nice person and I don't think that anyone would work with someone like him if they don't have to Dilated, falling free in a modern ecstasy

I find it really unfair that people don't give her music a chance because she worked with him, yet they don't even try to understand her situation. I can't imagine her being supportive of rape in any way since she's such a nice person. Besides that, her working with Dr. Luke is one of the main reasons why she isn't blowing up the way she should, so it would not be smart on a commercial level to stay with him, which is a strong indicator of her being forced to work with him. Luke, or if she finally decided to not support rapists and abusers? My friend is into her and I wanna give her a try cause it’s hard out there for trans people, but I don’t wanna financially support someone who works with rapists. The cover really caught my interest too so I wanna see if I’ll actually like her music. Whether supporting Kim is the right or wrong thing to do, ultimately has no right answer. I have addressed why I support Kim, regardless of her work being produced by Luke in multiple threads. I'll leave my insight once again for you and other users to make of it what you will. Kim is possibly the only Trans artist representation we have in the mainstream currently. Supporting her is vital for the Trans community because no one can disagree that it will open doors for other trans artist. Kim is also a huge advocate for the LGBT community as a whole, which only adds to reasons why we should welcome her uprising (even if we don't like the source of her music). Kim has addressed multiple times that Dr Luke gives her creative control, respects her and she has never been abused by him in any shape or form. She also stated that she in no shape or form disregarding the stories of those who have spoken up against him. I personally believe it because if that man hasn’t changed his ways by now and just one more artist speaks up against him, his career will definitely come to an end. He already lost his opportunity to produce for big artists. If Luke is trying to change his ways and is actually doing something good like propelling the career of a trans artist, then that's a good step forward in his life. Obviously what he has done will probably never be forgotten or forgiven but we shouldn’t disregard a good action just because the person is flawed. It's like if a criminal saves a cat from a tree, are we to make the cat a criminal now by association. Now given, she can work with other producers but also keep in mind Kim is not a signed artists. Financing herself can be extremely hard, especially for paying producers. My understanding is Dr.Luke offered her a deal and took chances on her as new trans artist. So I personally will support Kim's career for Kim's sake only.

Versace 7,981
To those saying Kim can't say anything bad about him, she has a contract with him. She isn't under his label. Literally they just have a production contract. She doesn’t need his approval to release music, nor can he control any other aspects of the music. Kim definitely has the upper hand here. If anything, one word from her and Luke's career is dead done. Do you think Luke would allow something like a Halloween Ep lol when he barely allowed Kesha to keep Dirty Love on her record. Kim is in control you guys, trying to spin the narrative, is just fear mongering. Also once wtv production deal she has with Luke is done, hopefully she now has more opportunities to work with other producers for future projects. Which I am optimistic will be the case.
