Illuminati

I'm so happy for her, that album is amazing and she totally deserves the acclaim given the history of how critics perceived her

it's also the reason why BTD outsold BTW and continues to chart on BB 200 every year since its release

I usually wait til the hype is over before listening to new albums of any other singers, but this album is getting more critical praise than 1989.  Imma need to listen to determine if I agree with all these praise. :what:

I think comparing it to 1989 is kind of unfair cause NFR is more about vulnerable, honest and well crafted lyrics than catchy tunes but they're both excellent in their ways.

It's different genres and pitchfork are known to shxt on major pop artists, they did the same to Gaga too, and leaning to the hipsters indie music which is fine, everyone got their own crowds. :flower:

Yea, I was just comparing it to 1989 since it was probably one of the last pop album in recent years to have received universal praise. So for NFR to get such a praise even though it's very much more of an indie/alternative genre record is impressive enough.

I know, I still dream I can one day see such praise for a Gaga pop album by these music snobs.
