seashellplay 512
For example, thinking Joanne would be a darker, gothic inspired album, however the Joanne we all know and love was much more softer and emotional, lighter on the ears. Maybe you believed The Fame Monster to simply be a continuation of The Fame with the playful lyrics and pop-culture motif, instead we really got a dark masterpiece and a counterpart. I'm a younger Gaga fan, so LG6 is my first time being able to really have an idea of how the album might go. Did you think ARTPOP would be another dark masterpiece? Smother Em Eh 7,137
I thought Joanne was going to be a pure pop album with just a more stripped down concept. Get Applause & G.U.Y to 1B views!
Stephen 30,431
With TFM I didn’t know what to expect but the change in sound was jarring to me at first With BTW I was expecting more TFM type sound (idk why) And was blown away by how diverse and unique it sounded. With ARTPOP I thought it would sound more like Zedd songs, like Clarity and Stache. With Joanne, I thought it would be a return to the Red One style pop (but also stripped down ballads, following C2C) After Perfect Illusion came out I expected it to be like her “rock/grunge” album. The country vibe completely threw me for a loop ASIB was pretty much what I expected, but better.
TINDER 2,383
I witnessed my first pre-era for Joanne! And I thought it'd be a pop perfection but I remember when Amazon Alexa leaked the snippets and how bad were the meltdowns, I was like **** **** **** and I loathed Perfect delusion I am tinder
ice bear 1
The Fame : i wasn't expecting it The Fame Monster : like a glamourous drama sung by a villain queen persona in a ballroom Born This Way: more like "songs i'd listen to when the sun is rising", there was a photo around the internet with Gags on the Eiffel tower for (a leak of?) Edge of Glory, with purple background, and thas my remaining impression of BTW ARTPOP: heavier, i thought it was going to be bigger than anything before it. i was expecting interludes and conceptual tracks and "part II" songs, all that artistic scheisse Joanne: a classic rock album, i was legit expecting a Gaga Ultraviolence A Star Is Born: i thought she'd return to her softer tone, but i'm not complaining at all. i was expecting some tropical motifs also ice heard one side from above
FfFfFfFF 56,292
I joined in 2017 so I only anticipated and speculated about how ASIB is going to sound. I expected it to be Americana, more balladry pop with some rock and blues in it, and this is what we got, except in a much better quality that I was hoping. For LG6 I expect dance-pop combined with techno and house and a darker tone and something quintessential Gaga and is yet to be seen if I am right.
