Smother Em Eh 7,131
What is Gaga’s most creative album? Creative in terms of instrumentals, rhythms/ melodies, vocals, concepts/ themes, lyrics. - I’d say Born This Way tbh. (Sorry ARTPOP!) Get Applause & G.U.Y to 1B views! HoneyB 27,926
ARTPOP was her most artistically ambitious project imo, but it was never fulfilled like she wanted it to unfortunately 💋 𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡 𝕐𝕒 ℂ𝕠𝕠𝕜𝕚𝕖𝕤 𝕌𝕡💋🍪

danwasd 2,444
The one who tries to combine the art and pop, not the one filled with fillers and that reductive cover of Express Yourself (jk I love BTW, but, c'mon...)

NCgaga 4,324
GREAT TOPIC! Gaga is an excellent example of vocal versatility. There are huge intentional/unintentional differences between albums. Remember- an adult’s voice will get richer the older one gets, then it will begin deteriorating naturally with age. The fame- BRIGHT tone- this was Intentional. A bright tone is a bigger seller for new pop stars, and they typically start out this way, until their label allows them to make more decisions vocally. The Fame Monster- same bright tone, robotic talking, and talk-singing used a lot with lots of vocal production. Born this way- still mostly bright tones, though Gaga is allowed to use darker tones in in certain songs. Darker tones being bigger, deeper, and fuller sounds- Gaga manipulates this by pushing her voice to the back of her throat- similar to Xtina, but not as extreme. Gaga is allowed to belt in born this way(Hair). Applause- a nice mix of bright and dark tones, more full voice used(manicure, dope). She also incorporates more growl from distortion. C2C- an album on vocal technique- using very specific jazz phrasing, and darkening her tone. Less distortion, much darker and fuller sound. Very strong low notes and belts. This is a fantastic vocal album- by any standard. Joanne- this album features her voice in its most natural, less manipulated form. There appears to be no reverb, no auto tune. Just raw, emotive, imperfect performances, one after the other. Lots of rasp, vocal distortion and growl. This is also her rangiest album in her full voice. ASIB- Similar to Joanne, there isn’t a lot of technoligical manipulation to her voice. Mostly raw and emotive. Everything is very specific and well planned here, but still sounds raw. I’ll never love again is an extremely vocally diverse song that features Gaga using head voice, low notes, full on belting, back to head voice. This is probably the most vocally challenging song she has ever done. The whole album is geared towards focusing on her voice- and how full it is. The production really wanted the viewer and listener to really hear her voice, and boy do you ever in Always remember is this way, I’ll never love again, is that alright and Shallow. Oriane 21,103
Red and Blue : Very girly and rock and energetic at the same time, it has this "catlike" vibe to it. The Fame : Young and pop, still sounds very girly, a bit deeper and rawer at times, and a bit nasal overall. In the performances especially, her voice is a lot deeper and huskier, a bit broken because of drugs etc. The Fame Monster : Darker and deeper, she sounds more mature. She has a nice tone but is not at the top of her abilities yet, you can hear she's still recovering from the use of drugs etc because she doesn't hit the notes as easily. Born this Way : Her voice sounds very feminine here but very rock at times. I love her vibrato here, it sounds cute. ARTPOP : Her voice is beginning to be REALLY good, she can hit higher but also lower notes and she sounds good in both, not too pitchy on the high notes and wonderfully dark in the low notes (Dope). She has a very good tone. She's also more comfortable in rock or RNB-like singing, with the growling and such. Cheek to Cheek : Her voice is gold here, she sounds effortless, her jazz tone sounds very natural. She explores long and high notes a bit more, but also softer songs. Her voice is also becoming more dramatic, she can really show her emotions on any note. Joanne : Her voice is a bit raspy and a bit deeper, it suits the sound of the album really well. It doesn't sound bad on the high notes like it did during The Fame. It makes her sound more mature and comforting at the same time. A Star is Born : Same as Joanne, except that she's really exploring her falsetto (or head voice, I'm not a vocal professional). I am actually on the minority within the fan base when it comes to The Fame. I think is Gaga’s second best album. I actually think her best projects are The Fame and The Fame Monster.
