Because how else would she have (almost) reached 1 million units? Streaming was needed to get there, but it doesn't look like even that was enough for her to hold her record.

Nooo. Imagine if those remaining 200k (people) needed had no choice but to buy the entire thing on iTunes(rep tracks were ALBUM ONLY its first week except for singles) instead of streaming

I mean it's possible, but 200,000 pure sales is a LOT in 2019. Most albums don't even come close to that in their debut week, let alone ever. I doubt that many people would have bought it just because it wasn't on streaming platforms.

Streaming is the de facto avenue by which music is consumed today. From a sales standpoint it would be silly in today's market to not put it there and get as much exposure and consumption as possible.
