She probably only talked about Ariana because the song is Ariana feat. Miley and Lana and not Ariana & Miley & Lana. Ariana was the one who asked her to be on the track.

I don't actually care too much but I feel like she's pretty careful with her words. I think it was saying something without having to say it tbh. I wonder why so many of mileys peers have so little respect for her? Is it something they've all seen/know about bts or is it just that her image has been kinda messy so they keep an arms distance? Idk.

What isn't the connection between them? Lana has a lot more in common with mainstream pop stars than some people want to admit. She may sound like a polished up Chan Marshall at times but she's really a mega pop star in urban outfitter cloaking. I think her and Gaga have quite a bit in common from general influences in rock and jazz music to some of their thematic choices and personas, and of course that they're both from the same scene in New York. Lana just took a more one lane cool girl pseudo-alt approach and Gaga tries to do and be everything unabashedly in the mainstream

I don't see Lana listening to Miley's songs because it doesn't fit her style, so maybe she stayed quiet because of this or because she didn't feel the need to say something about her? I think you are reading too much into it tbh. A shade would be like that moment when Carli XCX said that opening for Taylor is like playing music for kids  (I didn't see people too upset over it at that time).

The charli comment was in reference to the different between their fanbase. Taylor has little children whereas charli does not. Thus the comment. I think it only sounds weird out of context. And yeah I wouldn't assume she would I just noticed how her peers never seem to like her.

So are you saying that Lana not referring to Miley when talking about the soundtrack song is more disrespectful than Charli openly making a remark about how she felt like she was playing in front of children opening for Taylor?

It's not that I literally found it disrespectful I was kind of being tongue-in-cheek. Like mildly stan-y. Her not saying anything about miley in reality isn't anything disrespectful, I just read inbetween the lines of that though and can tell she most likely doesn't think much of her. So I commented on it lol

And what charli said wasn't disrespectful at all, it was factual lol charli doesn't usually play for children so for her to perform some of her material or have to edit it for a much younger leaning audience is what she was referencing. That's not disrespectful. She wasnt saying "only children could like Taylor Swift or attend her concerts" that's just stans spinning things negatively for drama
