The chorus is the part of the song with the loudest instruments, biggest volume and energy so when she composes the melody it's easier to start with a phrase like that in the chorus so it can hit harder. Especially when it’s “I am” - it’s very affirmative and empowering, and she’s always stating a belief or thought she has; she doesn’t care what anyone else thinks. I love this discovery! Also, no wonder her songs are legendary.
