The limited swirls im guessing took too much time/too expensive to produce every time... which is why its only limited to 500. Clear vinyl is proven to sound better anyway than standard black records.

I've heard the opposite. Clear vinyl and picture discs are more susceptible to poor playback. I even have a clear vinyl that has a bubble in it  The best, highest quality vinyl I have is an 180g black vinyl of Hounds of Love by Kate Bush. It's weight allows the grooves to remain undamgaged, and with the amount of times I've played it, I've never once heard it skip. This is how Blackout should have been pressed.

Im taking more about Urban Outfitters' clear pressings. They're better than the standard black. I know from experience. Regular black vinyl from them has more surface noise and playback. Clear pressings from them specifically is better.
