I loved them particularly because when you look back at her fashion eras, you know EXACTLY when this was. It did what Gaga sought to do which was be something of a reset for her in terms of fashion. I think it’s very interesting to be so *not* dolled up after years and years of being so. The fact that we can say “Joanne vibes” and people get what we mean means it worked. It’s iconic.

Yes! I never think of it that way. I know Joanne is not everyone's cup of tea (clearly) but the haters can't deny its influence. It is not less than any of her album(the influence). And the reason why I love this woman so much is that we can specifically differentiate every era not just by the music but also by the fashion. The short shorts, the stripped down fashion, the Gladys Tamez hats etc. iconic, literally iconic.
