JusKeepBreathin 19,311
I hope not. It's not even a good song. "Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." -Martin Luther King Jr.

JustJames 968
If LG really stated that the song hadn’t anything to do with sex, I’m shocked. Like so many of her concepts, the final version was whitewashed and told a totally different message than intended. Her earl the solo performances of it made it clear that much of ARTPOP was about her being used: for profit, as a canvas, for love, for sex, for fun... DWUW second verse was about her being “yours” when onstage and that she’ll carry on even if she doesn’t want to. Almost a disassociative meaning. The intended messages of this and Applause were totally massacred, but making her replace that second verse and have it sung by RK was literally personification of her original song. No less repugnant.

Gaga wanted him on the track and I think she knew exactly what she was doing to make a controversial pop record. R. Kelly wasn’t convicted of his charges at the time so her team probably thought it was a smart “pop” move. I actually think Tara influenced Gaga with R. Kelly as she was a super fan of his. Gaga seemed genuinely excited for the record even hyping the performance on Twitter etc. Gaga’s took ownership in her open memo and said she was young and in a dark place in her life. She also mentions that her intention was to make a provocative record to express her trauma. She mentions nothing about the record label.
