But this wasn't the case for IKAG... she did actually experience it. It wasn't a thing to be cool and trendy, because nobody was doing it. It only became "cool + trendy" after IKAG and Poker Face... then we had Jessie J

And Katy did apologise for Ur So Gay... explaining that she wrote it about a guy who she was dating that wasn't interested in her as much as she wanted him to be. But she apologised for it. As well as apologising for the This Is How We Do video

That was literally me in 2018    I experimented with guys and discovered myself.  Those lyrics resonate with anyone who is unsure of themselves but wants to "experiment".  I don't get how it sounds like bi girls are sex driven cheaters at all

She has a boyfriend yet she still out kissing girls while intoxicated? That’s not a good look for a marginalized community. It confirms what many think of gay people.

Honey, she has serious sexual assault allegations on her and ALL you fans care about is her reputation. That speaks volumes. She has problematic behavior after behavior and why do y'all defend her? Because she's a female popstar? What has she done for this community again?

The thing thats happening to her happened to Gaga 5-6 years ago (maybe not as bad though). However, when it happened to Gaga she was able to change the trajectory of her career. She put out a jazz album with TB, she released a softer, more vocal driven album, she did the super bowl, and then she starred in a blockbuster movie. Not trying to be unnecessarily shady, but Gaga is objectively more talented than Katy, so once the Gaga gimmick wore off she was able to fall back on that talent. Katy doesn't really have that option, and she's already used up her super bowl performance. Not saying Katy isn't talented, she is, but she's definitely not going to win back the GP solely with her singing or acting skills. That's the problem with artists like her is that they always have a finite expiration date.

She also relied very heavily on sex appeal, and lost a lot of that during the Witness era when she cut her hair (even though I loved her short hair personally). She's also not 25 anymore and we live in an era where women have a hard time staying trendy after a certain age, it's sad and unfair but unfortunately that is just how our society is. She will probably still be able to have a few moderate hits, but I don't expect her to get a top 10 single again, at least not on her own. 

Also I can't with some of yall acting like IKAG was some huge victory/milestone moment for the LGBT community and not just a cheap tactic Dr. Luke curated to pander to straight men's fantasies about hot girls making out with each other. Even Gaga expressed her distaste for it

Exactly. And people in this fanbase are too quick to make everyone's flop era their "ARTPOP era" which is not true because for Gaga it was very unique in many ways. Gaga worked with an accused rapist yes but that's not what most of her "backlash" was about. Gaga has never been accused of sexual assault herself. 

And if we're talking about music leaving aside the sexual harassment, the thing with Gaga is she actually took some time off to focus on herself and her image. Focus on her kindness message, more acoustic music to show her talents, etc. Katy just keeps doing the same thing over and over again expecting it to "work".

Not really, for someone who built their career on selling sex-appeal its a fundamental factor to maintain a successful career. With all the money she had she could've hired the best vocal coaches, instrument & music theory teachers to have a strong musical foundation to rely on, like gaga did after her gimmicky costumes weren't doing it. 

I enjoy katys bops, but without her looks she would've been another charli xcx.

Because she’s not having any hits right now. I remember most of GGD were obsessed with her during Teenage Dream and Prism because she was everywhere and that’s what some stans like to do, the jump bandwagon based on who is popular at the moment.
