I will say I do have way too much of a personal connection with this album not to snap, so I will say I'm being way too defensive about this whole thing :poot:

I still stand by what I said but I also don't behave well under stress and having lots of people having a discussion with me so :poot:

I probably wouldn't have done this megarate had I know everyone on GGD hates it this much to avoid the aTtAcK I'm having now so :poot:

this megarate has taken way too much of my energy, I'm not arguing with anyone for a week :poot:

Ok sis :kara:

Sorry I didn't want to hurt you in any way. A personal connection is something nobody should make fun of.

#02 | Love Profusion

Spoiler

FfFfFfFF - A song that grew on me recently - it works good in the context of the album but on its own it I feel like it loses some of its power.
ANTI WP  - I got u under my skin
corvus albus - The best song on the album. That's it. That's the entire tweet.
Sneaky Oliver - I absolutely love the acoustic guitar on this track. I love the “I got you under my skin” line especially when she whispers it. I think this song is about admitting the world is a chaotic space and it was just meant to be that way, but we can thrive through love and there's a love profusion out there, we just gotta find it.
lost in limbo - This song is tbh a turning point on AL. The first three tracks are very political/societal and here is where the album also starts to focus on love (which is followed up in tracks such as Nothing Fail and X-Static Process) and it does a pretty good job at it. As for the song itself, it's probably one of the most beautiful Madonna tracks imo. The lyrics aren't mindblowing but they are beautiful and paired with Madonna's vocals, they make my heart melt. The production is still American Life-esque without feeling disconnected from the song. There is really not much to say about this song, it just works and it's just good.

Spoiler

lost in limbo - aaaaa I love this track so much. It always gets atleast my eyes slightly wet. The lyrics, the production, the way she sings and connects with what she's singing, everything about this is flawless. The addition of the choir is also excellent (if there's a choir in a Madonna song, yk it's gonna be good). Like Love Profusion, there's not a lot of words for this one, it just is a great song. Aditionally, the line "I'm not religious, but I feel so moved" is so iconic. Overall, one of the best tracks on the album imo
MarlonBrando7 - this one better win :grr:
androiduser - one of M's strongest songs, even though she barely wrote any part of it (search for the original demo by Jem), shoudl ahev been the lead single, her career would have taken a totally different turn, and she would have scored a hit as massive as Like a Prayer... the biggest wasted opportunity of her life, and one of the biggest mistakes in pop history.
corvus albus - Another good song with a nice melody and the choir just sounds heavenly.
ANTI WP - such a good song
