#03 | X-Static Process
Score: 8,606

Commentary:

Spoiler

lost in limbo - This couldn't not be 11. I've lost track of the times I've cried to this, one of which was in the making of these rates. I can relate to this song so ****ing much and it just makes my love for it even more special. This is one of Madonna's best songs and I love every single thing about it. I don't think I can even express with words how much this song means to me without going on a tagent so I'm just gonna say that her vocals are godly, the production is godly, the ability to make a minimalist song on an album like American Life and making it work is TALENT and that it's proof God is Madonna.
Sneaky Oliver - I love the multiple harmonies which are all sung by herself. My interpretation about this song is that’s about questioning your own existence and finding in yourself the ultimate greatness even towards those who are heavily idolized and worshiped. The acoustic sound and smooth sweet vocals perfectly capture the feeling of naivety and quietude from the moment we stop everything just to think about life in a deep way.
corvus albus - Jesus Christ. For something called X-static there's certainly a lack of ecstasy here.
ANTI WP - nice song I guess I am not a christian so ...you get my point ?
FfFfFfFF - This is song is more like a grower. I love how tender and gentle is and it works as a pause from the rest of the album which is more abrasive-sounding.

Ugh, I wanted X-Static to be #2, but it's still good result. :(

the critical thinking point was about a comment saying the lyrics were shallow :vegas: I'm saying some of y'all didn't try to give the tracks a chance nor try to understand them deeper, as evidenced by the people not getting the lyrics :vegas:

There, was the clarification enough? :vegas:

At least for me lyrics are not everything and if the song lacks a catchy melody or instruments that sound well I'm not going to give good rates :vegas:
