gagaschickens 4
I hope it has at least 3 singles and 4 mvs and at one promo single リのひ ᄃム刀'イ 尺乇ムり イんノ丂, ᄃム刀 リのひ?

Eh that’s a little different. Yes artists will release singles nonstop hoping at least one does well. And if it goes well they will release an album including the singles that did decent and pretending the ones that flopped didn’t exist. New don’t go into the studio making albums anymore it’s all one note singles. But artists that are going in making albums are having less singles
RickMonster98 7,462
4 singles is the perfect number, 2 before the album comes out. "Joanne" didn't have any other potential hit tbh, but I believe that she's going to give us her best era since BTW, with many MVs and singles. GagaUnderYou 4,981
I think this era would be more packed. 4 singles, 4 videos, live tv performances, Stadium tour etc Superbowl/ASIB really launched her career to new heights.

However you do have a point even though I don't think what is happening is necessary bad either. Music is experienced different in each musical era, via different ways or platforms. Of course many will look with nostalgy at the late 2000s/ early 2010s albums rollouts and think about how much better they were when they were also facing critique from the ones that were used to physical CDs and so on. Twitter 14
4 singles is just enough imo. - 2 successful radio singles - 1 moderate hit single - 1 after album release/fan favorite
AJRocketMan 2,684
I think all singles should be released before the album, like one every month or two. Streaming really ruined the music industry.
Monster7 5,697
First single released with its mv at the same time. Two months after, the same with the second single Two months after, album, third single and mv the same day And that's it
HighwayGuy 1,498
Maybe Gaga will only release singles until she’s finished her residency in May
Versace 7,959
Less than 4 is a pity I prefer to have 2 singles before an album and 2 after and only if the 4th does well can we consider more (this is often the case for super successful eras) Because sometimes bad single choices hinder an album's image and people don't bother checking out an album. The artist/label automatically assume that no one would be here for more singles when often the best tracks on an album go unnoticed. If it wasn’t for Dua's team constantly pushing singles, they wouldn’t have enjoyed the success of New Rules but they kept testing the waters and it worked. dit 46,433
I agree. ARTPOP had 2 and a half singles and Joanne had 2 proper singles as well. She just does not release many singles anymore (yes TFM had only 3 singles but it was an EP / rerelease era so it makes sense) and it makes tracking her eras a little boring. Good news is that she at least released 4 mvs last era so there is hope that even if we dont get 4 proper singles we will at least get 3 or 4 mvs
Schizophonic 7,015
what do u think about the idea that post album singles will be released as mixes? the problem is: every fan will already have bought the song with the album. if its another version, the fanbase would be able to buy another file and would push the song way more. a great remix or a good feature could really help the singles after albumrelease. kendrick, weeknd... or even lizzo on a track? Madame Goo Goo 3,843
2 singles before album, 1 single day of album release, and 1 single (or even just a music video) after the album should do the trick. Lady Gaga doesn't owe us anything
