If it's true she went platinum off pure sales. in two hours. that seems fast to me

well i live in China and many of these certifications (which aren't even official) are often achieved within a few days :poot: This certification was by QQ Music (which I used to use), where some albums are free but some cost money cause they need to  pay for some songs to be on the streaming services due to copyright (?), which means most albums won't even get certifications cause they're free  to stream, which makes this irrelevant imo :rip: Also I  believe fans can buy multiple copies of the album using the same account and they get  on this leaderboard chart, whih I believe might be a contributing factor to this acheivement  (I remember some people buying up to 100 albums:lmao:)

If it's payola then her label needs to better sort out their finances cause these certs don't matter :messga:

I saw this page posted by someone on Reddit and it seems to track sales of albums and what that actually totals to in actual sales http://y.saoju.net/szzj/album/238/  so actual copies are at 77k rn although it was I guess pre-saved this many times on QQ Music idk maybe it's just fans going crazy and doing what Irrelevant said above

here's also her artist page which also has the trackings for 1989 and reputation for comparison http://y.saoju.net/szzj/artist/11/

77545张 means 77545 copies. 张 is a word used to count flat objects such as CDs. 1552616.00元  is the amount of money (the currency  元 yuan is the chinese currency) made from those copies. 77545 is kind of the SPS number I guess you could compare it to. With everything factored in. Mind you also that an international release is platinum when it has sold just 20k copies so it is most certainly platinum either way.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_music_recording_certifications

Antonio

It's easy for big acts to go platinum relatively quickly there, I know Dimash Kudaibergen went 3x plat in like 5 minutes
