What's especially disappointing considering she built her entire career on absolutely massive earworms, but she doesn't seem to be able to come up with them anymore. That was the main problem with Witness, the hooks were all just lacking. Roulette, for example, has perfectly fine verses, a nice build in the pre-chorus, but completely falls flat on the chorus itself. NRO had a great hook, but that's only because its a reworking of an already great song with a tremendous chorus. Idk, can she just bring Bonnie McKee back or something?
