But blocking out the expectations I had for the film, I was so ready for a perfume ad that had a song titled **** promoting it, it goes far beyond what is usually created as an advert for a celebrity fragrance. I think visually it is incredible. Although it could have had some sort of music in the background, It is stunning. As for the performance art piece, did people think she would be performing some pop single at the Guggenheim museum? I thought the performance art related perfectly to the theme of fame, it was an artistic expression of what the perfume represents. It was a cool commercial though (I knew that considering I saw it for the first time a month ago) There are NO unseen scenes and hardly any new still shots even.... Klein+Gaga just click. Everything - the effects, the lighting, the looks - utterly 'Gaga'. I also liked the eerie sounds you hear throughout the ad; it really creates the mood/atmosphere that intensifies all the dark visuals. The slime or whatever it was... so cool. The thing that disappointed me the most was that the narrative was unclear. It needs a thorough explanation if this ad is going to be successful with the people - the imagery is mind blowing amazing but there was no story I could follow. Some people are saying it shows the sides to Fame... but I can't see it. Also hoped more of Scheisse would be in it. I love it though. It's unique and unexpected. But I am disappointed because of no Scheisse, too :cry: Let's hope that someone good at this can add professionally the song to the video we now have.
