That’s actually a pretty interesting take on it, although I personally disagree, I don’t really think it reduces her to a gimmick.

Well now that I read it like that I agree. I doesn't reduce her to a gimmick because her talent always shines through. Her creative choices and artistic expression on the other hand? It kind of makes fun of it. It's like a parody and if that was her intention I would actually very much appreciate that. That's very full circle. In some ways she seems so aware of it but I can't tell. Very enigmatic either way.

First of all her fans didn't like the whole idea of Gaga performing in Vegas, you all remember the meltdowns. 

When the show began we saw absolutely nothing new, all the music was basically the same as 2008-2009, nothing improved, the same instrumentals and production, this is insane, all the other singers are refreshing their old song and they give them a new life, but Gaga - no.

The visuals, the whole show actually feels like Gaga is not enjoying it herself, there is no passion. Look at her during her jazz concerts, she is completely different there. I prefer her all concerts were only jazz shows. 

And we miss her, after Superbowl and JWT(where half the tour was cancelled)so many people wanted to see her,  after A star is born as well, but she is stuck in Vegas. Also, only 1 song from ASIB?

there's a lot of tackiness in my opinion... enigma herself, dance in the dark's outfit and performance, her wig... I'm sure it's a great show live and it IS a great show and hoping to see it live. But it is tacky. Hopefully LG6's tour is more cohesive in its theme like the BTWBall

Oh no I feel you! I think the difference with Gaga from other artists is that she’s not just doing her hits but she’s also hyper aware of her iconography and pop iconography so she has tapped into that a lot. She’s always put a lot of weight on her legacy, ya know? So the story doesn’t feel very new when she’s done a similar thing for awhile. I can see where people aren’t blown away by the story because of that.

 

The rest of it is anyone’s guess lol I think the stage is really cool (though maybe people don’t like it because it could never look like her stadium and arena tour stages? I think for being on a theater it’s really cool. And she hasn’t done theaters in awhile).
