Yes and Mary Jane Holland was the same:

This one's weird for me, because I think the parts done by Gaga's guitarist, Ricky Tillo, is still in this demo? So wouldn't that mean she had involvement in this production already, and then the instrumental went around?

idk anymore

Both songs are produced by Zedd (same with MJH with Madeon and The Good Natured) - They just reworked something they already did.  Its not uncommon amongst producers.

Aura was the same too, Infected Mushroom made the instrumental

always irked me knowing that Gaga just used other people’s instrumentals for ARTPOP, idk why, I guess her comments about the album made me  think she would be much more involved in everything rather than buying tracks and adding vocals to it :poot:

it's actually the most ARTPOP thing she could have done.  Jeff Koons actually doesn't make his sculptures I think.  He designs them and then people make them for him.  That's essentially what she did with these instrumentals.  I wonder if she ever made that connection

Although this came out way after ARTPOP this collab Jeff Koons did with Louis Vuitton reminds me much of what is being talked about, where basically they're recreated imitations of famous artwork but with his spin on it. .

The fact that Zedd was given the opportunity to work with L. Gaga and gave her second hand products...

I could laugh at this for the rest of time.

Interscum probably chose those songs on purpose to make Gaga look bad, instead of the Act II songs she wanted.

Omg yes! The instrumental Infected Mushroom song was called “Kink.” Here’s a video of them playing live in December 31, 2011.

I enjoy the album for what it is but I don’t think the singing flow and the instrumentals fit too well. “Swine” and “MJH” have great instrumentals but I don’t think the singing was fitting. I actually think “Statche” fits a little bit better vocally than those two.

Exactly this proves Gaga and Madeon worked on it before this Can't Beat the Machines version. What I'm sure happened is (which I've seen before at a local record label) is they made the instrumental and at some point Madeon thought he'd see what it sounded like behind CBTM basically like a remix and probably sent it to the band who then leaked it, at least that's how I see it happening and would explain everything.

I don't think you can blame interscope, they wouldn't try and sabotage one of their biggest artists when they basically just want to make money. And if it wasn't for them we might not have Applause

I mean she just broke her hip and her label were demanding music from her I honestly don't blame her. The songs are great anyways

:awkney:

ARTPOP was developed in 2012, not after she broke her hip.

Enough with the excuses guys omg :ladyhaha: MJH was written in 2012 and Gaga literally admitted on the track-by-track commentary that she asked Madeon's instrumentals so she could choose one she liked. And that's exactly what she did.

Same with Donatella, written in 2012  These weren't songs she slapped together last minute. And yes, this is standard music industry stuff, almost all pop stars do this but then can y'all also stop pretending she writes every instrumental melody and creates every beat by herself? :rip:

It's always funny to see the same people who argue she's this creative genius who is unlike any other pop star because she does "everything" herself suddenly come up with these "everybody does it!!!!", "well, at least she wrote the melody!!!" stories :lmao: It's fine. Gaga's fine. The problem is you apparently not being able to enjoy Gaga's music without overrating it. It's pop music, relax.

I know she keeps pretending she's better than everyone else for taking control in the studio (which is half-true I guess) but who honestly believes this after all of these exposés over the years? :air: She exaggerates to look more authentic, and of course she does. It's genius.

Why would a world renowned multi million dollar label (which Gaga has a good relationship with) sabotage one of their main sources of profit :rip:

The dramatic fan fiction :rip:

I wouldn’t call it the “original version of Donatella” but rather the original instrumental that Donatella used.

You actually think record labels exist to support artists, not lock them up and rob them of their creativity? :sure:

The naivety :sure:

Didn't she scrap the original concept for ARTPOP after playing it for her label and they rejected half the content? So she threw together a new album that was all over the place (but more commercial) as a **** you and a way to say "I can make commercial music and still have creative control"

Edit: hence the album not including Tea, Sire, Tinnitus, etc which she had already told fans would be on the album

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
