And watch this video if you want, I know its cringy because its a cartoon but he makes good arguments.

The CDC show that there were 39,773 firearm-related injuries in 2017.

Firearm homicides were 14,542 (U01.4, X-93-X95). (Definition of homicide - "the killing of one person by another". Homicide in itself is not necessarily a crime). See page 36

Firearm suicides were 23,854.

Suicides are NOT included in the 14,542 firearm homicides statistic.

"Codes for firearm-related deaths

Causes of death attributable to firearm-related injuries include ICD–10 codes *U01.4, Terrorism involving firearms (homicide); W32–W34, Accidental discharge of firearms; X72– X74, Intentional self-harm (suicide) by discharge of firearms; X93–X95, Assault (homicide) by discharge of firearms; Y22– Y24, Discharge of firearms, undetermined intent; and Y35.0, Legal intervention involving firearm discharge. Deaths from firearm-related injuries exclude deaths due to explosives and other causes indirectly related to firearms"See page 64

Re. the video. Yeah, I'm not watching that. The first source cited is Breitbart so no thank you. I prefer not to watch something by far-right extremists.

I never said guns should be banned in homes. I said "It will effectively limit guns in homes where they do not belong". There is a difference between someone who has applied for a weapons licence, done weapons training, training on how to keep the gun in a safe etc owning a gun; and someone walking into Walmart buying a gun over the counter. As such, a gun can be in one home but should NOT be in the other.

Stricter gun laws is not about banning guns it is about ensuring that people who own guns know how to keep and use them. It should not be possible to decide you want a gun and then go to your local Walmart and buy one over the counter without any experience of weapons.

I'm still not buying the "I need it for self-defense line". It's not the 1800s. Statistics show how few cases actually use guns for self-defence.  The Violence Policy Center (VPC) states that "more guns are stolen each year than are used in self-defence".

"A series of VPC studies on guns and self-defense thoroughly disprove the NRA myth. These studies analyze national data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program’s Supplementary Homicide Report (SHR) and the Bureau of Justice Statistics’ National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS). Among the findings of the most recent edition of the study are the following:

In 2016, the FBI reports there were only 274 justifiable homicides involving a private citizen using a firearm. That same year, there were 10,341 criminal gun homicides. Guns were used in 37 criminal homicides for every justifiable homicide.

Intended victims of violent crimes engaged in self-protective behavior that involved a firearm in 1.1 percent of attempted and completed incidents between 2014 and 2016.

Intended victims of property crimes engaged in self-protective behavior that involved a firearm in 0.3 percent of attempted and completed incidents between 2014 and 2016.

When analyzing the most reliable data available, what is most striking is that in a nation of more than 300 million guns, how rarely firearms are used in self-defense". SOURCE

https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/hicrc/firearms-research/gun-threats-and-self-defense-gun-use-2/

"Guns kept in the home are more likely to be involved in a fatal or nonfatal unintentional shooting, criminal assault or suicide attempt than to be used to injure or kill in self-defense.  That is, a gun is more likely to be used to kill or injure an innocent person in the home than a threatening intruder". SOURCE

Then we agree I guess. And while most guns are not used in self defense, I want to use it for that purpose and it should not be illegal for me to do it as long as I qualify.

You dont have to watch it, but its not far right or right wing. Its a Libertarian anarchist channel. They are anti Trump and pro immigration for example.

Not entirely as I do not see the reasoning for owning a gun for self-defense, but shall you qualify under strict guns laws to do so that is your right.

So because someone you dont like have the same opinion as me, that makes me wrong?

Almost everyone left and right admits there is a problem with pharmaceutical industries and that people are over prescribed highly compared to other countries. They also admit that it effects violent thoughts, suicide, and crimes. Even today, I just watched a progressive channel talking and linking this to gun shootings.

Saying what I said does not link me to right wing lunatics like Tomi Lahren

I am an anarchist, I did not stereotype anarchists! Anarchists are not pro violence, I never said they are. But we are pro guns.

I don’t think America will ever change, America was founded on violence so it will forever be blasé about violence sadly.

All Anarchists are pro guns, if you want to abolish government, then you should be able to protect yourself as an individual and a collective group. None anarchists who claim to be anti guns are not really anti guns, they are pro guns for certain kind of people. They are pro guns and weapons to government and police only who are the real criminals committing mass genocides everyday and killing innocent people in the name of the American people.

There's no such thing as American anarchism :smh: It's way too varied and decentralized to present it as any one thing. Post-left and pacifist anarchism definitely do not widely support armed insurrection.

Of course it's totally fine for you to say you're an anarchist and you support private ownership of guns, but you cannot say all anarchists do the same, simple as that. I don't want that misconception to spread here.

I know there are different kind of anarchists. From what I know, Anarcho socialists and Anarcho capitalists are both pro guns. No Anarchist believes in anti guns or else how will they defend themselves without a state? defending yourself from other countries too and invaders.
