I love Britney and I’ve been listening to Blackout, Circus and Glory a lot these days, and while doing so I have noticed that her last 3 top 10 hits (not counting Scream & Shout since it is not her song) were all from Femme Fatale, which was released in 2011. The song that ended her top 10 career was ‘I Wanna Go’, the second last single from the album.

Since then, the only times she came close to it were her lead singles released after Femme Fatale: Work Bitch (#12) and Make Me... (#17).

Do you think she can ever hit the top 10 again, or did she really Wanna Go from having hit singles? :gum:

not a french fry

I think that if she records a serious album, drops the baby voice, and uses her (surprisingly amazing) deep voice and shocks the world with how good she is. I think it could happen, but if she just releases another Britney Jean, then probably not. I think if she sang like she did as a kid, the world would love her again

also if you want more deep voice Britney, listen to “Soda Pop” off of her first album, she literally sounds like Christina

Yes tbh, her voice is distinct and kinda iconic.

Have her feature someone who's currently doing really well and watch her smash ala Scream&Shout.

I'm sorry but her last hit worthy single was Work Bitch. I haven't seen her serve anything hit worthy since then.

yes. And i think that these past few years away will help, she is one of the most legendary names in music and if she wants a good comeback and releases a good song it can get in the top 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100 however she would have to change something i feel, like she would benefit from a more grown up sound and her voice should be less auto tuned.

well she is not really relevant at the moment but everyone in the world knows Britney, it all just depends on what she comes out with, she would benefit from shaking it up and having a more mature sounding vocal. I think if she was to sound different on a record the world would take note and be here for it. But of course if she wants to come back with a sexy autotuned dance bop like she often does i'll be here for that too.

I don't think so. Radio won't be playing her (I Wanna Go was last hit and also her last song she released before 30 years which is an infamous number for female artists in relation to radio) and after so long time since Glory the overall interest in her dropped considerably. If she couldn't get any hits with Glory which was a calitative album and with the hype she had back then she won't  be able to it now.. maybe another top 50 hit.

yes and

Only if she dies lol
And commentators above definitely stuck in 00s, where pop-divas were successful and famous.

It's impossible for such singers as Britney, Christina, Fergie, etc. to chart all over the world again.

Glory was full of hit worthy songs, but it flopped as heck. People are just not interested in her anymore, her time  is over, you need to accept it.

Did you think I'd show up in a limousine? No

dynamite

I think she could with a great pop song. Work Bitch sucks and Make Me just didn't do much for me.

I meant her single choices, her song Better had that trendy tropical sound at the moment, wonder why it wasn't pushed.

Britney’s not the case, though. 3 and HIAM debuted at the top thanks to her massive fanbase and 2 years later, she couldn’t crack the top 10, whereas Fergie and Christina’s chart success had died a while before that.
