I'm still sad this song wasn't given more promo. In my mind this was her Whitney moment, and although I like shallow I don't think it's anywhere near as good musically...

I agree, I think both Shallow and INLA should have been given equal attention. Vocally, it was her best performance of all time. It was stunning. And the best part? It was one take and it was live :queenga:

I mean, if they want to push this (or ARUTW) for next year's Grammys, they totally could.

I'd love that.

3 points in and ready for more

Well it's a single in France and is getting some playlist exposure and also it got a lot of views on youtube so it's a step higher than an album track. :laughga: Gotta appreciate what we have.

Its in her top 5 songs of her whole discography imo. Lightyears better than Shallow. Literally could've been her I Will Always Love you/My Heart Will Go On if it had been promoted. I'm still super grateful for the success Shallow got but I do wish INLA was the signature song from the movie instead. But hey what can you do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Where did she say that?

OT: INLA is amazing but honestly, the holy trinity of ASIB are Shallow, ARUTW, and Is That Alright?

INLA is the encore.

People connected with Shallow much more. INLA is amazing but feels very Me Too and 90s inspired ballad rather than original. Shallow feels much more original and fresh.

tbh I'll Never Love isn't that memorable imo. Its melody is a little clunky and sounds a little too similar to I'll Always Love You. ARUTW was the true missed opportunity. That song could have been another signature hit for Gaga along with Shallow but they wasted their chance with it.

Well, I heard them played in department store, so that's something

She said when talking to Zane Lowe, she said that after Sonja died Gaga was only focused on singing that song. It was one take
