Anyone else feel bad for Katy Perry?

This time 9 years ago Katy was basically the biggest star in pop - when California Gurls/Teenage Dream etc were released.

Forward 9 years on, she's had an unlucky album, she's suffered with bad depression and now been convicted of infringement. It's like she keeps getting knocked down.

Anyone else feel really bad for her? She seems like a really nice person and don't think she deserves it. I know it's all about the music and if the music isn't connecting then it's not going to sell - but I really liked Never Really Over, so I do really hope she's able to make it back up because her music has given me amazing memories <3

Love u Katy!

Edit: funny, the people who 'lmao'ed this post are the same people hating on Beyoncé too. Signing up on a forum just to be hateful to everyone but Gaga is pretty sad and you need to find something more fulfilling in your life and then maybe you wouldn't be so angry.

She has tons of money in the bank, she is fine and I don’t feel bad for her.

She has always struck me as a very inauthentic person. If her music failing is the worst thing that ever happens to her, she lives a very blessed life. I hope she evolves and grows, life isn’t always a Teenage Dream. Take the hard times and learn something, it’s what life is about.

But fame doesn't work like that. When you have everything and it's taken away from you - I can't imagine what that's like.

We all live relatively normal lives so won't feel such an extreme 'high to low' like someone as big as her would.

As Gaga said 'fame is unnatural'.

She sunk Hillary Clinton's entire campaign and basically gave us Trump. Honestly I don't know why her influence in the election isn't as talked about as Russia's interference.

I wouldnt feel too bad for her if I were you. She's still making millions upon millions, is in what seems to be a great and serious relationship with Orlanda D Girth Bloom and is still making and releasing great videos. She's fine. Success comes and goes and her time may be "over" in that regards but she still seems to be having a blast. The only thing I feel bad for her about is her depression which is ofcourse serious and I really wish her all the best in that regards.

I feel really bad for her too:( poor girl just wants to make some music yet she’s being dragged to court and dragged by her fans. Her most recent music has been her best, it’s a shame.

I'm an ARTPOP bitch, baby

As long as she is personally happy that‘s good, but i do think that people drag her for absolutely nothing. Like: HAHA SHE IS RELEASING A SONG BUT IS IRRELEVANT RETIRE BITCH. Like... what? Stans are terrible. She‘s doing what she wants to do. And never really over is a bop.

i don’t feel as bad for her as i should. i’ve been a huge stan for almost 6 years, and somehow it feels like without all the success she’s more connected with her fans idk. it used to bother me that we went from Roar numbers to Hey Hey Hey numbers but honestly i’m willing to accept that if she’s going to be more authentic and honest

I’ve always loved her music. I don’t care if it’s not meaningful, she makes BOPS and once i even preferred her to Gaga tbh. So even tho i kinda disliked her during ARTPOP Era for obvious  reasons, now that she’s been humbled i support her even more :vegas:

I don't. These things are just little blips. Her career still seems to be going strong even though sales might be weak. She doesn't seem to be worried about it.

She's not in a bad place though :emma: She's not at #1 anymore but she still survives, her public image remains unscathed and NRO proves people are more than willing to tune back in when they're in the mood for it. And then there's her success on Idol

I feel great for her tbh. Much less pressure but a continuing career with an epic catalogue of hits that will be remembered for decades. What's to feel bad about?

I feel bad cause she was so depressed when she worked so hard for Witness but personaly I didn't like the album too much. :/  But come on she's Katy Perry! Madonna or Beyoncé had their "flop" albums and they came back  with success years later.
