Chiune Sugihara (杉原 千畝 Sugihara Chiune, 1 January 1900 – 31 July 1986) was a Japanese government official who served as vice consul for the Japanese Empire in Kaunas, Lithuania.

Chiune Sugihara illegally signed thousands of visas for Jews to escape Lithuania to reach a safe stops in Japan to finally reaches a safe haven in the Dutch colony of Curacao in the Caribbean when World War II broke out. In 1984 he was named as a "Righteous Among the Nations" title by the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum.

Oh my lord this is literally such a coincidence  I was at my lawyers office today, in Lithuania (!!) and saw this on the receptionists computer.
