ok I have a question, let's say she's a president and this healthcare proposal is moving forward, but 8 years after there's a new republican president, can this president just cancel this healthcare?

She's really amping up her plans/proposals. At least she has a thorough plan unlike most of the nominees.

The president doesn't write laws - but can encourage negotiations and message the country's priorities. On big stuff like this the president can meet with congressional leaders to negotiate a bill that then gets written in the house or senate, then passed in the other, and signed by the president. The next president could do a similar thing to pass legislation to repeal the old bill or do a different one, but it would require the same process.

I would love to see her, Bernie, and Warren debate this topic.

Kamala comes in with the worse-ACA, Bernie claims to have medicare for all within 4 years, and Warren explains how she will actually be able to reach that goal.

Really disappointed that Kamala flopped so hard with two seriously important issues. Has she released her climate policy yet? Cause that's my main issue and I swear if she aligns with Biden on that one

The congress would have to pass a law to do this but if a Republican President has a Republican Congress, then yes the could. But 8 years into the transition, most people will probably be pretty happy with it and you’d seem massive backlash many times of what you saw during the ACA.

Now what confuses me about Kamala’s proposal is this. Do people that get the private plan still have to pay the tax? How would this system work if people can just opt out? The rich will just opt into price plans and leave the government with the poorer individuals. 

Also, the idea that this is gonna be funded with no tax hike on those making 100k is not only crazy but completely unnecessary. You can tax those people so long as they’re better off under single payer then they are now. Which even under Bernie’s plan they are.

This is so unnecessary and disappointing tbh. Why couldn’t we just have the government cover everything medically necessary and private companies do supplemental? This is essentially the same as Bernie’s but more confusing and less efficient.
