Is the Kween B loosing her star power? I mean they all claim she was a powerful force when it comes to impact and sales... has she lost the talent that has? The selling power that has? The success that has? The acclaim that has?... what’s next... the beauty that has?? :selena:

Talent: she barely uses it anymore but she still has it

Acclaim: she's still got it like no one else

Beauty: this is subjective (and she'll have Haus Labs for that)

Success: we don't know yet, I doubt she's loosing it… I think she doesn't care right now

Also, TABS is a childish term isn't it? :laughga:

TAB is def. still there and we‘ll talk about S when there is an actual thing to measure it on. I feel like people dont care about soundtracks unless locals hype it (hello greatest showman) if she did a „Beyoncé“ album more people would care and hype.

Definitely not the acclaim. Sales are hard to tell. Her last solo album was immensely successful, I feel like many people forgot it was the #1 best selling album worldwide of all of 2016. For comparison: Rihanna's Anti was the #16 best selling album :emma: Yet no one's denying Rihanna's commercial appeal even now, so why deny Beyoncé's based on a side project? Some projects just don't stick, without that meaning someone's star power is decreasing. Rihanna's had plenty of flopped singles that nevertheless didn't affect her public image.

I feel like The Gift is exactly such a project. Beyoncé's star power is big but not as big as The Lion King itself. That movie is breaking records while only like 1% of the people going to see it are streaming/buying the movie's 2019 soundtrack (the actual soundtrack, not The Gift which is, absurdly, selling more) :air: This whole remake is fuelled by people's nostalgia for the 1994 original. Not even Beyoncé can change that.

There's also an extra dimension when it comes to Beyoncé: plenty of journalists have noticed that since 2013, but especially since 2016,  Beyoncé's target audience has narrowed down to young black females with great success, meaning: the public at large has gradually "reinvented" Beyoncé as a fundamentally black artist who is communicating to a predominantly black audience with a predominantly "black" message. This would not affect her star power per se, but it would affect her commercial success, as a large chunck of her usual audience simply does not feel addressed or involved by her releases, especially when they're African inspired like The Gift. Just a thought.

In any case, I think based on the staggering success of her last two solo albums and her last two solo tours, her star power is going nowhere. This is just a side project that didn't slay.

I don't know, In America she's treated like a goddess, Those standards are hard to match up to.

But outside of the US She's just herself like any other singer, I'm sure if she released more music hits she'd be very relevant again.

She needs to change her brand again because she’s been doing the same thing since ha Super Bowl and the GP have seen it and are looking for something new.

I’m still waiting for a gospel album from Kween B. Ha own “Back to Black”. Something from the heart. She has lost all ability to surprise people and even ha hardkore fans are starting to abandon ha. She’s just a facade at this point.

Not really, only stans care about this and want to make this "Beyoncé is a flop now" a thing but it's never going to work! Gp doesn't care, she's too respected, if this was somebody else ...

Anyway I think she'll come around. Remember when stans (especially monsters) were coming at her during 4 era and she came up with BEYONCE???
