When major figures in pop media are still covering your Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe winning song 11 months after it's release and an entire audience of teenagers are screaming it in the audience despite it not sounding like anything they listen to and even their grandma's know the damn lyrics....you know you have a classic on your hands. Shallow really is as big as Bad Romance, Poker Face, and Born This Way y'all. Never saw that coming. Gaga, ten years in, after she "flopped", took an unpopular genre (again) and turned it into arguably if-not-biggest smash of her career, definitely her most beloved. She really did that guys.
